PLAYER Reece Walsh

Not denying he has been TERRIBLY out of form and ponga has been much better but this is how much the media controls the narrative with fans....

"Reece walsh can't be picked this year, his handling is shocking, they have to pick ponga"...

If that's the reason....

Reece walsh 2nd most in nrl with 9

Ponga... 1st with 11 after 3 games

That's actually amazing haha

I remember when the conversation was between Slater and Hunt for QLD fullback and my argument against Slater was that he always jumped up for bombs he didn’t have to and made too many errors.

Eventually I was proven to be wrong!

Uncle Paddy will be in his ear for Friday night. With a bit of brotherly love I expect him to have a blinder to shut all the doubters up.

Forecast rain which means his acceleration and the way he steps will play havoc with their defensive line.

If you're a betting man put him down for a double.

I would worry more about him slipping around when it's wet

Hopefully we pack the long bloody studs this time around!!

Wouldn`t matter how long his studs are .
He ends up stepping on the edge / upper part of his boot . I`ve watched him in slow mo enough to know not to blame his boots . It`s a flaw in his stepping / stopping technique .

I think we may have underestimated how much Ezra and Walsh fed off each other - both as an attacking combo but also each others energy.

Mam also created a lot space for Walsh on the left, Hunt just doesn’t offer the same level of running threat
Very true. But I reckon we should not get too carried away here. Two terrible games for him, and I mean terrible... however, new coach, new structures/combos, strong defensive mindset etc., and yeah, no Mam to feed off. It's early days though. He'll come good people!! This week ;)
