Referees Get Their Eyes Tested
The NRL Referees have taken up the challenge issued by Rugby League fans and losing coaches over generations – they have had their eyes tested at OPSM.

Now, through a new partnership with OPSM, Harvey Norman State of Origin referees Tony Archer and Shayne Hayne have joined the NRL in urging coaches, fans and all Australians to do the same.

More than two million domestic viewers will see Wednesday night’s State of Origin match at ANZ Stadium and many will be among the 1.5million Australians facing eye health issues.

As the Official Eye Care Provider of the NRL, OPSM will appear on the sleeve of referees’ jerseys in NRL and representative matches as part of a campaign to educate fans about the need to have their eyes fully tested every two years.

So if OPSM is an official partner of the NRL maybe they can offer some kind of discounts for club members

A discount at OPSM still means the price is about $150 more expensive than it should be.

Meh I have private health that takes care of most of it

all the referees involved with last nights match - especially Harrigan and the other video ref - need to have more than their eyes checked. they need to have their brains checked to make sure they havent had a partial (or full) lobotomy. absolutely dreadful.

you only needed to look at NSW to see that Creagh knocked that ball on (in case the multiple replays showing him getting a full open hand on the ball and knocking it back in the opposite direction it was travelling werent enough proof) - theres 1 minute left, theyre behind by 10........yet theyre not even bothering running back to get ready for the kick-off, or even rushing to set up the conversion, because they thought there was no way any referee would get that decision wrong. if they thought it was a try they would be desperately trying to get to the kick-off to have a chance of winning the match.

To be honest AP, in the gif of yours all i see is Slater dropping his nuts...

If slater didn't drop his nuts he would have been knocked out cold and Rocky would be the proudest poster on here.

Oh god it hurts to defend Slater.

I guess that is just what separates the good and great fullbacks. The great ones don't worry about self preservation.

I suppose at that stage of the game Slater didn't think it was worth putting his body on the line, game over etc. But agree, it was pretty weak.
