Renouf demands audit of 'anti-Wayne' Broncos

I don't like seeing ex-player after ex-player being rolled out in the media to heap shit on the team. While some of their points may be valid, this is what clubs like the Eels have to endure all the time and all it does is create more instability in the club. So what happens if Walters takes over like all these ex-players are wanting and we still miss finals? Which old teammate of theirs will they push for next? He doesn't exactly have an impressive coaching record himself and certainly not one that fills me with confidence that he would do any better than the incumbent.

Since Bennett left, his record against the broncos has been abysmal - something like 3 wins and 9 losses.

Bennetts team didn't make the finals last year btw. You seem to constantly be forgetting that.

To my way of thinking we were already getting over the first hurdle, namely making the semis. I accept we may have needed more help to take the next step to GF glory but removing Bennett was counterproductive . No sane person could argue we have improved since his removal. He was removed in order for us to improve, it could hardly be for the opposite reason now could it ? So, on that simple scale it has been a monumental failure, a complete and utter catastrophe with our club in a serious state of disarray .

You're a clever little cookie aren't you. Did you really have to state that making the semis is required to play in the GF? Anyways, if we our club was performing like the Knights then I would be almost as disappointed. Getting rid of WB and hiring Bellamy was our plan, but they stuffed it up. Their idea was great. Yes we are worse off, but in the long run we will not be.

Yeah, but he had an amazing team for 20 odd years. That's not a coincidence, he's surely got to get some credit for the team.

I'm not discrediting him. But I'm not giving him as much credit as some people want to give him, even after his teams failures in Newcastle.
 
Cyril did love the young boys didn't he? He could spot a good looking prospect a mile away. However, he had some duds that did not perform how he wanted them to.
 
All scouts have some bad picks. However, the good picks that he got were not just good, they turned out to be some of the best players to ever play the game.

I am convinced this is either Salty or Kieran Marsh, both are Bronco worshippers and both are adept are far as the Q cup goes. Can only be one of these two gentleman.

Yeah, had nothing to do with Bennett, all that glory. Anyone could have coached those teams, they were so good,even Henjak or Griffin could have won GFs with them. The only way to prove the coach had a lot to do with it was to take his superstar team away from him and give him an inferior roster and see if he could coach them to a GF victory.....oh wait.
