Todd Carney has had a great season but let's not forget he played fullback for almost half the season, not exactly sure how many games; if it was less then half, but he wouldn't deserve to win 5/8 of the year over Lockyer as he hasn't strung as many games as him in the same position.

Wouldn't have a problem with him winning 5/8 of the year though..just saying.

Also since Gasnier has returned to the Dragons it has led to the drop in form of Darius Boyd which was unfortunate as he was having a great season before Gasniers' arrival.

Well yeah, he's only played about 9-10 games at 5/8, the rest have been at Fullback and halfback. So NFI how you could put Carney over Lockyer as 5/8 of the year.

Yeah i'd want Lockyer to win it, but if for some reason they didn't give it to him i wouldn't have too much of a problem if Carney won it as he too has had a great season.

carney definitely deserves the Dally M, and IMO should get one of the positional player awards as well. which one? buggers me, but take your pick of fullback/halfback/five-eighth really.

how that fella left Folau out of the team i dont know. hes been absolutely incredible this year since he moved to centre.

Please don't jump down my throat but , much as I rate him as player and man, I would not have Petero as one of the frontrowers. There have been some outstanding props playing this year. Only imo.

Also would love to have the other Minichello (Mark)playing for the Broncs. Hard hard hard.

Seriously, Thaiday and Folau are the only players you'd consider from the Broncos in a "team of the year".

And I think he got it pretty right with only Prince and Minichiello from the Titans, in terms of consistency at least. Frankly I think Prince has been solid but unspectacular all season, but he's been consistent, which is more than you can say for any other halfback in the competition. MAYBE Pearce.

Maybe they could've put Bird in...LOLZ.

Can't really think of a better centre tbh. Not that SKD was on fire but no one springs to mind. Tonga? But he has the Cowboys shit season going against him.

And Hodkinson will shit in the rookie of the year. He made a rep side after a handful of games and in his first season at halfback is going to the semis. If not Hodkinson, Gillett would get it.
