POST GAME [Round 1, 2024] Broncos vs Roosters

I Dont Want To No Way GIF by Netflix Is a Joke

if you ever needed any evidence that we live in a simulation, look no further than the fact that guys named Brandon and Sandon Smith are playing in the same team

Bad:
Cobbo looks unfit.
No backs stepped up to do Herbie’s yardage work.
Forward pack has no bully.
Kicking game was trash.
Young players were too frantic.
Coaching was dire (Patty to 2nd row is a fail).

Good:
Goal line defence was there.
Ezra and Walsh still look quick AF.
We get a bigger field next time we play.

Theory: Adam Reynolds was sick of everyone saying he has his worst game of his career in the GF so he played even worse today. The worst kicking display I’ve seen from us ever. Made me miss Anthony Milford, at least his bombs were high.

Lose a backrower in the first 5mins and two of the middle forward rotation players still play sub 40mins... 26mins from Taupau... Smoothy getting 45mins off the bench to cover Patty's minutes at lock.

The pack was dominated when Patty was shifted to the edge... cannot be the plan moving forward with how brittle Piakura is

Need a new player who can move to backrow when we are in a Pinch, Carrigan isn't it, it hurts us in the middle too much moving him away from there.

Also Cobbo definitely needs to up his workrate it was very below par.

If we had that sorted I think we would have gotten a result today.

Manu and teddy pretty much won them the game by themselves. The ref putting away the whistle made the match an absolute slog, I just wish they had the courage to ref every game to the rule book.

Lethargic from our boys. Baker is dog shit, call up tpj from the qcup and get Willison in the side immediately.
