I'm going to allow it. Collins is a beast, their best player, and Patty is a relative rookie in the same position. I wouldn't swap either for the other.

I would take peak Dale Copley (Fail Dropley) back in the centres if it meant our defensive structure was solid and we didn't concede every time the opposition shifted the ball to an edge

Same goes for Paix. He may be able to play for 60. Walters can then either cover any halfs issues or finish out the game at 9.

I know it's round 1 and it would be seen as a bit of a kick in the teeth to Carrigan; but considering how weak the Roosters bench is; I'd look to start Jensen over Carrigan for 20 then when their benchies come on they are up against a fresh Carrigan and Hass.

I think a fresh willison and jensen with tapau and te kura on there heels will be a handful already. I don't know their bench enough to know if we can dominate them tbh though.

I'm not so concerned about the margins but it needs to be thoroughly convincing at the very least. Or keep them to 1 try ideally (nil even better). This roosters team is putrid, could possibly be the worst team on paper in the comp. Zero excuses.

Need to make sure we take our chances tonight and put them to the sword early.
Can't have those bombed tries that turn into 7 tackle sets and relieves all the pressure.
Haas and Patty will get us off to a strong start for the early field position battle... need to take advantage of that with points on the board.
The longer we let rorters stay in the contest the more belief they'll get from it.
