Proud of the boys. Even Boyd ran for 99m. Oates was a worry though

Had to love at Kevvie at the end, saying that Broncos got the win but don’t forget the Cowboys are without McGuire. Bloke is bitter as ****.

I was explaining to my 11 year old son tonight that he better get used to it.....
Even he commented on how it sounded like the commentators were always talking the cowboys up even when they were way behind.
I said yep mate they’ve all had it in for us ever since super league for one reason after another.
We’re the Broncos
The mighty Broncos....

I said at the start of the year Oates needs to start making the transition to the second row.
I'm not sure why he was off his game but he seems to struggle
Couldn’t agree more with Jamayne but Boyd was ineffective in attack and mostly ordinary in defense. To be fair there were a couple of times when he missed his first attempt but came back to get the job done when it mattered. Oates had an ordinary night but I wouldn’t want to be playing outside Boyd as he knows he’s not gonna get much quality ball
That seems petty. The left side wasn't used in attack but was solid defensively. Both boyd and Oates went looking for ball (Boyd more so) and under those circumstances it's all you can ask for. Oates handling was bad but some nights that's how it goes.
I'm not saying either was outstanding but Oates can bounce back from this and Boyd basically got his job done.
Our right side shined in attack but was also caught out in defence (a bit like last year but not as bad).
The difference between then and now was we used our forwards effectively (all of them, starters and the bench) and we played with purpose and good leadership.
In short the difference was croft, and carrigan.
I think carrigan could our stand out player this season and his influence on those around him was for all to see in the way the less famous forwards of our pack lifted tonight.

They have suspended the premier league now in England. I dont think we are going to escape it.

Clubs are not going to play in front of empty stadiums. They probably will next week but I can't see it going further.

They spend a lot of money on travel and accommodation etc to play and some clubs rely on gate takings to even stay afloat.

It's just not going to happen.

When Glenn comes back he should be playing off the bench. We played with our best starting forward pack tonight.
No mate Glenn is by far the most consistent forward.... apart from haas... and he is the captain he ain’t playing on the bench

It would be best for the team that he did as he can play in the middle, edge and hooker and centre at a pinch. We need to leave the starting forward pack as it is, Carrigan can lead until he is on the field.

The nrl would further the budget to teams... because they will make a shit ton more from broadcasting money if they play with no crowds and compensate the clubs than if they don’t

1. Isaako - 9/10 - Actually elite, RTS with cramps
2. Oates - 3/10 - Coronavirus hands
3. Boyd - 6/10 - Dummy half runs are better than missed tackles I suppose
4. Staggs - 7/10 - Nice
5. Arthars - 9/10 - WTF, best outside back on the team by far
6. Milford - 7/10 - One point for each offload
7. Croft - 8/10 - Cronk with a straight nose
8. Flegler - 8/10 - Gun
9. Turpin - 8/10 - Best hooker on the Broncos since Matt Parcell
10. Haas - 10/10 - No words required
11. Fifita - 8/10 - Nearly blew out my achilles cheering on his try
12. TPJ - 8/10 - Get the rubbish out of his game and he's elite
13. Carrigan 9/10 - Parker with hair

The NRL are having money trouble themselves. From my understanding they will need to borrow money just to give money to the clubs.

As for broadcasting, they won’t want a product that’s played in a completely empty stadium. I can see some issues being caused.

Not all clubs feel the same way. All it takes is for them to refuse to play in empty stadiums.

At the end of the day it’s not up to the coaches. It’s the CEO’s call.

How will the TV deal work if it doesn't get broadcast? Do clubs still get money?
