Have to give a rap to Shiba and Staggs those boys defended the two best centres in the game above and beyond. Shibs at centre is an improvement just needs to fix that error in him.

The forwards just stood up tonight in a big way. Aggressive runs and dominate tackles. Laying a great platform for the backs. All of them had a go tonight.

The Turps and Siggy combo is the right ingredient for this team. Our halfs have more time with these two playing. Loved Turps energy and then Siggs bringing that mongrel and nounce.

Milf is looking more and more the player he is supposed to be. Dreaden has such a steady character for his age. His defence is very very good and he screams star in the making. Lock him up if we haven't.

Back three all had solid games. Boyd is def getting his mind right and the boys are following him.

I am doing 3 2 1 a bit different tonight.

I have egg all over my face right now. I'm so embarrassed and you know what? I fucking love it!!!!!!

I said we'd lose this game but boy, was I wrong and I definitely underestimated the spirit of our boys. Fucking wow. Absolutely amazing performance. We gritted it out with a pretty average attacking game but our defense was enormous.

So happy and proud of our team and club right now. Hopefully this win can turn our season around. We beat the best and we did it in a very tough and hard way.

The Broncos spirit is still ALIVE!!!!!

No it wasn't. His bench use was perfect. Who do you take off for fifita? Our experienced 80 minute edge forwards who were defending perfectly with the game tied? A middle forward who was part of a rotation that was dominating the roosters middle? Who, please tell me. 18 minutes allowed fifita to just play with 100% intensity.
I don't get this bs about seibold having bad bench use that other posters have mentioned. These young guys are getting far more minutes under him than they did Bennett. His end goal is obvious and he brings them on at the right time 90% of the time. The lack of fifita isn't due to him lacking skill, its due to us having 80 minute second rowers, with one an Australian mainstay and the other a kiwi International who is playing better than I've seen him play for 8 or 9 years.

Don't think I've ever been happier to be wrong lol. Look, we're still not in the 8 and I'd like to see if we build on this great win, but I was adamant we'd lose tonight and I was wrong and definitely underestimated the boys.

We should all enjoy this win tonight and focus on next week, next week. Our boys were the Broncos tonight.

Really impressive tonight, but I can't help thinking we should have put more on them. Physically, we smashed them, we just lacked a bit of composure when we got into attacking positions.

Playing a utility with a tight defence definitely gave us more impotus in attack, when we have more than 50% possession.
We still made plenty of errors and were clunky in attack at times, but showed heart (particularly our front rowers) with strong hit ups and good defence.
As much as he was maligned with the ball in hand, Shibasaki was very good against one of best attacking players in the game.
The difference in my opinion was Haas. He is a once in a generation player, and if he keeps his head and knuckles down will probably end up a future immortal. It's a long road to sow but he has that ability and will only get better.
What worries me at times, is the lack of cohesion in attack. We are still very stop-start at times with forwards taking hit ups from a standing starts, and our attack in the opponents 20 disjointed, relying on individual ability. Hopefully they are working hard, and it clicks.

Agreed, the polish isn't there. We could've easily put 40 on them but we looked a little lost in their 20 zone. I'm chalking that up as a learning curve though.
