Hannant, McGuire and Prince may miss the game.

Hunt to halfback
Anderson to bench

Who cares? Depends on whether the Broncos D- effort periods are longer than their B- effort periods and we can turn the other team's mistakes and "swtiched off" period into points.

Doesn't matter who you pick, our gameplan depends entirely on how poorly the opposition play.

Thank god the rum will be flowing.

From other thread:

Assuming Hannant, McGuire & Wallace are out, i'd be seriously considering playing Parker at prop, allowing Stagg to play lock. Thaiday is twice the player at #12, but unfortunately he'll have to stay up front.

Kahu
Hoffman
Reed
Hodges
Kemp

Wallace
Hunt

Parker
McCullough
Thaiday
Glenn
Gillett
Stagg

Baptiste
Anderson
Hala
Dodds / Wallace / Slyney

That's a lot of back-rowers but we need our best players on and can take advantage of Stagg's currently wasted workhorse ability.

* I mean prince out, not Wallace.

I think we need to buy another prop.

Are we already playing the Titans again?

Weird draw.

Kahu
Hoffman
Reed
Hodges
Kemp

Macca (more room, less pressure, good defence on the edge)
Hunt

Parker
Wallace (no other option as far as I am concerned)
Thaiday
Glenn
Gillett
Stagg

Norman (only 'cos there's no-one else)
Hala
Dodds
Anderson

Gillett barely averages more than 70 metres a game this season, and plays the 80. No wonder our forwards are already starting to tire.

I don't mind that actually. McCullough & Wallace swapping makes sense, and could swap around a bit to ease fatigue. But Norman needs to be out totally. Bring in Baptistery if healthy, or Granville or next best up-and-coming hooker for a 10-15 minute stint.

If Wallace was at the 9 he wouldn't need a rest and a bench hooker would be a bigger waste than it is now.

We need to show up with the right attitude, going out there and expecting to win isn't going to cut it.

This is an important game, another loss and it could get ugly.

Agreed Edo, an attitude adjustment is desperately needed this week or we'll cop another pizzling.

Hunt in for Prince. Don't really care either way if Wallace/Macca swap but it might cause too many dramas for our defensive structure.

Norman needs to go after lastnight, he offered absolutely nothing and needs a reality check.

Kickers also need to stand deeper or get much quicker ball fed to them, the pressure on Wallace lastnight was ridiculous (they didn't seem to learn from it either mind you).

Better use of the bench.

I know you are not a fan of Gillett. IMO, the problem is Hook has no idea how to coach hole running back rowers. Instead, with rare exceptions (like Prince > Gillett on the burst > try) and Glenn's try out wide, we have NFI how to use 2 of the best back rowers in the comp.

Hook is not so much a bad coach as a coach who has inherited a style of play which just doesn't cut it these days, and never will. He is bereft of new ideas. He probably has pictures of Bennett on his bedside table, next to Norman's

You just need to look at how Manly use Whatmongrel and G Stewart to see one example, or SBW at the Roosters.

Tey get room AND SUPPORT RUNNERS. We just bash and barge one out way way too much.

Let's hope last nights loss is a wake up call for the boys and can give them the motivation to turn themselves around. We should lift for this game and we have a strong record against the Gold Coast.

all of our problems keep coming back to the coaching for me.

the make up of the side doesnt really bother me anymore. its our hunger and each and every players desire to take the game on, or lack of, that hurts us. we seem to sit back and expect someone else to do the job.

hannant actually alluded to that on the footy show panel just now.

We don't have the cattle to play Griffinball.

As for the team, I'd simply bring Hunt in to 6, Anderson to bench, McGuire to start, Granville on the bench.

If McGuire is suspended, bring in Jarrod Wallace, start Anderson.
