PRE-GAME Round 10 - Cowboys vs Broncos

Our big test regardless of result is not this week, it is our form during and post origin

Realistically, how many players are we expecting to be in Origin?

Thaiday and Parker are certainties, Hodges, McGuire and Hunt are all maybes. We have decent depth in all of those positions. I really don't think Origin is going to have as big an effect as people are suggesting this year.

I believe Thaiday, Parker, Hodges and Boyd are certainties and McGuire will most probably be there. With half our forward pack gone and not a lot of experience in the backup forwards I would see it having a big effect

I can see us winning this. We will have thaiday back and our backlines at full strength. Our bench is very solid. We have as many attacking weapons i feel. The main dangers are their halfs, so we need to win the forward battle like the roosters game

I thought he was put on report?

He's out, which sucks dick. With origin, its likely we won't see him in a broncos jersey for a few weeks now.

Take the early guilty Josh, no point in risking your origin debut.

Solves another headache with him out for this game though, with Thaiday back he'll just slot straight into the other prop position.

8. Blair
9. McCullough
10. Thaiday
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker

Sans McGuire, for mine that's the best starting pack we can field with Dodds out for 6 weeks

I don't think he would risk his origin debut.

Pretty sure he gets one week regardless of whether he fights and loses or pleads guilty.

On difference eould be carry over points.

He gets 2 weeks if he fights it and loses.

Isn't there some ridiculous Stat about how many charges Bronco players have had downgraded over the years?

If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, but the last player to be successful at the judiciary was Karmichael Hunt in 2008..

And that was their first judicial win in 14 years.

I don't recall anyone else being successful at the judiciary after 2008.

I remember a lot of players being charged, but I think most of them took the early guilty pleas.

Sam Thaiday tried to get off his charge last year, but he was unsuccessful.

Thats the last one i remember too.

In fact, the club don't challenge many charges any more. They probably got sick of losing, so decided it was in their best interest to get the early guilty plea discount.

cowboys have won six in a row which all but assures us a win because everyone loses after a six game winning streak.
