PRE-GAME Round 10 - Tigers vs Broncos

V’landys trying to avoid relocating QLD teams, and families, to NSW quarantine hotels:

“We will test the nominated pool of players every three days. It’s an inconvenience to them but that’s all we can do. Hopefully they accept that and we are just waiting for some answers. Only the players in NSW in the hot spots who live around the Casula area will be affected, there’s only 19 of them, so if they are going to play a Queensland team, they will have to be tested. We are going through when those players will have to play the Queensland teams, we’re going through that at the moment.”

“The premier is trying to help us find a resolution for the Queensland teams. It might be the easiest option for us to relocate the Queensland teams to Sydney but we are trying to avoid that at this stage.

Am I the only one that thinks relocating the teams from the non-affected areas to the affected area is counter intuitive?!

Wouldn’t it make more sense (granted it will cost more and disrupt more people, but that’s sometimes the price you have to pay) and present less risk of an outbreak ruining the season to relocate all the teams to QLD and have the bubble here.

If all teams move to NSW and it rolls back into stage 3/4 lockdowns, it's season over. Which - let's be honest, would not be the worst thing in the world for us :P

This does suck but is sadly a real possibility. What a year.

I'm absolutely hoping the season is suspended. **** Parra ha ha. Also, it would be great for us. So many surgeries done and dusted and the earlier humiliation almost wiped from memory. Plus I'm fucked in the tipping .

Other than not having anything to watch from Thu-Sun, cancelling this season wouldn't be the worst result...

If covid has taught us anything it's that when forced to be idle we humans can find many and varied things with which to occupy ourselves. Some of the lockdown vids are highly entertaining especially the musical stuff.

Fair enough, doesn't really beat watching the footy though imo. There is still something special about live sport, especially league, that movies, tv shows or funny You Tube videos cannot match.

My guess is they want to do this because Palachook will demand the GF to allow the season to go ahead with all teams in QLD ... and the NRL will never give the GF to QLD

Still rather watch the footy.

She is starting to put the squeeze on the afl to play their gf up here. I never thought there was a remote possibility of the afl gf being played away from the mcg but if that can happen then anything can happen (even the broncs making the playoffs).

No, it's a **** act. We'd effectively eradicated not only Covid, but the seasonal influenza, in QLD - no community transmission since May - until we opened the border to the disease-infested shitmonkeys down south. Now, because that fucktard Berejiklian was too hopeless to close the border to Vic, we're exposed to all those southerner germs. Now, it's anyone's guess what's lurking.

If I had my way, Ana would've postponed opening the border for another month, and would only open under the proviso NSW gets its shit together in the next few weeks. Anything into the double figures a day stays banned. Go **** yourself, NSW.

Then I'd invite all the teams, in every sport, including the T20 World Cup, to relocate to pristine QLD where they can rub up against each other to their heart's content, thus making Brisbane the sporting capital of the world, arguably the universe.
