Do you actually watch the games Mick ?
Dude offloaded for a line break . Then offloaded again later . Probably had the fastest play the balls in the game .

But don`t let that let in the way of your narrative .
I do.
He could’ve made 500m, 50 line breaks scored 12 tries and kicked an 80m field goal. Don’t care.
He is shit and not first grade standard.
That is all. Show me anything CONSISTENT that says otherwise. If you do actually watch footy, you’ll know there are intangibles. The shit that isn’t in the stats that make you a first grader.

How do you detect these intangibles?

What happened?
Round 1 it all looked so promising.
Kicking options on both sides.
Forward pack rolling. Wingers making metres.
Yeah Walsh was erratic.

We stuttered in CBR but ground out wins v The, Cows and Tiggers.

Got out-muscled in the return v Rorters, played 30 v Wahs and then blew the Dogs off the pitch in a half.

Since that halftime v Dogs we have looked terrible. All those pros from Rd 1 turned to cons.

I trust Madge, Reyno and the team can pull it together. But I thought that would happen post-Origin '24.

I say this alot in this forum. Let's do the 1 percenters: linespeed, kick-chase, support play and run some structure. The flashy stuff will come from that.

I wouldn't mind seeing the odd early hit-up 2 passes wide as well?

Ben Hunt - whilst it felt good at the time, this transfer goes down as a bad one. I cant seem to escape the obvious; we should have spent that money on a NRL quality 2nd rower instead.

IMO that's a tad premature ... let's wait until he plays the position that we actually bought him to play, before making that call.

our second row depth is definitely an issue ... but moving Willison there looks like a great call, I'd love to see how he goes next season after a full pre-season in the position. he could be the strike backrower we need

Great question @McHunt!
Again, for those of you who have never played….
For example:
It’s when the bloke next to you folds the c**t 1:1 taking a hit up.
This, again for those of you who have never played a competitive team sport, is what we call inspiration.
It “inspires” those around who play on the same team and wear the jersey. Intangible. Doesn’t make it on the stats sheet that Toni Carroll broke someone in half.
I am happy to keep spelling it out.
This is how you learn.
Does anyone need pictures, or is the above enough?

I want to see Ezra and Selwyn link up this game for some line breaks within our 50m. I would caution going through the middle like we normally do, those Dragon forwards love to tackle, and Su'A will no doubt be looking to put in an Origin jersey earning performance.

This should also be the last game we play without Reece.

Kind of wish Piakura was starting, thought the consistency was doing him good.

They're both runners so I would like to see some outside inside plays for Cobbo... I think we will need Reyno to run the show this week, because we don't get much ball playing out of either Cobbo or Ezra.

Hopefully the forwards actually turn up this week after all the criticism they've copped.

Let’s get some tangibles right then maybe we can worry about intangibles
We suck because 90 percent of the team can’t do the most basic fundamentals to first grade standard consistently

I hope we start Willison at left 2nd row and Piakura right side. Riki can move to the bench he doesn't add much for an 80 minute player.

Totally agree. This was in relation to Baker being a shit ****. But yes, most on the team aren’t earning their pay check

- Lions boys have been helpful throughout the year
- The more we win as a city, the better, we also want to be apart of those circles
- We do need to be better, I believe in the quality of our roster
(So many usual cliches)
- Others not pulling their weight is white noise
- I love our pack, wouldn't change them for anyone else
- Attention to detail blah blah blah
- I'm all about results, so by our own standards, we are missing the mark
- This week is a really good opportunity to start setting things right
- We believe in where we are going as players
- All teams train hard, we need to make sacrifices to be where we want to be
- Put me in any number in a Broncos jersey and I'm happy
- We need to work together to find our rhythm and I'm confident once we do, we'll really click
- Ezra has made good progress on the field and off the field
(so many cliches, man)
- Don't want to put too much pressure on the kid
- I back Ezra in and the work he has done, he hasn't been doing nothing for 10 weeks, he's been training hard
- Internally we are dealing with the Marty situation, he made a mistake and is owning it
- He's apologetic and that's that
- We know the expectations we hold on ourselves and I believe in this group (85th time this was said)

Honestly, this was so hard to literally hear, pick up your game Broncos media.

Next week's spine, tomorrow.

I don't like a system where our most promising junior Half coming through has to be benched just so a has been can start, a game atleast with Black and Mam from any future looking standpoint would have been what we should be seeing there as that is most likely our post Reyno halves pairing.

Taupau and the Broncos have parted ways "amicably" and immediately.
Bad decision from the club... they've excused Ezra and kept him, but old mate likes a post on social media and is shown the door.

Ezra, Madge and the club are going to absolutely cop it from all angles because of this decision.

I hope they got Marty to sign an NDA otherwise he will be the first bloke popping up on podcasts moving forward.

It's not being presented as a sacking. He didn't front the leadership group, but quit. The Broncos agreed. He won't be playing Cup either. It wasn't like he was getting any game time. He'd be better off in Japanese rugby or the ESL.

Still a good chance there will be a few podcasts or media interviews looking to get a hold of him to get secretes from the inside of the broncos

I think it's the right decision. Mam made a dumb decision and was punished for it by the courts, and a huge financial penalty from the club. What Mam did was 1000x worse when comparing the 2, but it wasn't anything to do with his employer. What Marty did was an attack on the organisation, so he needed to be removed from that and not stay as a cancer.
