My bad.

Expected line-ups, with a late change for the Broncos.

Pete is that Su'a out Pete because he strained calf on friday?

Jo in the second row is a bit weird.

8. Wallace
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Ofahengaue
13. Arrow

14. Ese'ese
15. Su'a / Hipgrave / Pangai
16. Su'a / Hipgrave / Pangai
17. Nikorima

This'll be the lineup according to Courier Mail, with Maranta & Eden filling in for Boyd & Oates.

Hipgrave's selection doesn't make sense to me. Keegan was really raw before he suffered a serious injury in the NYC. He hasn't played a game since so surely Jaydn will get the shot?

Lol. In other words CM dont really know, but those three were obviously at training! Yeah i thought Hipgrave was out with injury.

All three trained yesterday in the role- they're just joining dots

Not bad replacing the current Australian fullback with the current NZ fullback

Highly-touted teen Jaydn Su’a will become the latest Logan product to transition into the NRL ranks when the Brisbane Broncos take on the Wests Tigers on Friday night.
Logan Brothers product Su’a has been named to debut for the Broncos and could well come face-to-face with another product from one of rugby league’s best nurseries in JJ Felise, who made his NRL debut for the Tigers against the Melbourne Storm in Round 7 this year.
When he runs out on Friday, Su’a will join the likes of Cameron Smith, Corey Parker, Israel Folau, Lote Tuqiri, Mark Tookey, Corey Norman, Felise and more to progress from the junior ranks in Logan into the NRL.
“It’s very exciting; it’s another name to add to the list of Logan Brothers players who have progressed into the NRL,” Logan Brothers president Matt Mead said.
“He hits hard, he’s a good ball carrier, he runs good lines ... he’s tall, wiry and strong. He’s what they all look for in a backrower.

“He was man of the match for the Junior Kangaroos a few weeks ago and that form has carried over.

“He’ll be nervous but he’ll have a fair bit of experience around him in the forwards in Andrew McCullough, Alex Glenn and Adam Blair to help him out.”
Su’a played at Logan Brothers from 2008 to 2014 before joining the Broncos Under-20s squad.
The 18-year-old also played in Souths Logan’s Cyril Connell Cup-winning side as a 15-year-old.

TWO youngsters will make their debuts for the NRMA Insurance Broncos against the Wests Tigers on Friday night.

Wayne Bennett today named Logan Brothers junior Jaydn Su’A in the second row of a Broncos’ team missing several State of Origin stars.
A Junior Kangaroo, 18-year-old Su’A will pack down alongside Alex Glenn in a re-shuffled pack that gives Jarrod Wallace and Joe Ofahengaue another chance to start an NRL match.
Wallace will lock the scrum, replacing normal skipper Corey Parker, while Ofahengaue will begin the match in the front row alongside deputising captain Adam Blair.
On the bench, former Canberra under-20s player Tevita Pangai junior joins a young interchange list.
Recent club debutants Herman Ese’ese and Jai Arrow will man the bench with Kiwi Test player Kodi Nikorima.
Debutant Pangai, 20, is another who played in the Junior Kangaroos’ win over the Junior Kiwis earlier this month, a game that Su’A was named man of the match in.
In the backline Lachlan Maranta makes a return from a knee injury just when the club needed him.
Maranta has been out for almost two months with knee ligament damage, but has proved his fitness in time for the Tigers game.
He will sit on the wing, with English flyer Greg Eden coming onto the other wing.
Eden has been in fine touch in the Intrust Super Cup for Wynnum, setting up and scoring tries for the Seagulls.
Jordan Kahu slips from the wing to the custodian’s role at the back, a position he has plenty of experience in.

BRONCOS NRL TEAM
1. Jordan Kahu
2. Greg Eden

4. James Roberts
5. Lachlan Maranta

Im excite to see how the young boys go in Su'a, Pangai, ese'ese and arrow

Some interesting changes there. Wallace at 13.

I imagine we'll see a slight change to the side when it's finalized on Friday night, but still. Interesting.

Numbers don't really mean much, but Ofa seems more lock-ish than Wallace to me. A bit smaller and a bit more mobile.

A bit disappointed that Seve guy isn't making his debut too. People were hyping him up pretty major, want to see what he's about.

Wallace locks the scrum. How quaint.

I was kinda hoping Maranta was out for a another week so we could see him play.
