Eels proved too strong against a struggling Panthers outfit. I thought they defended a lot better and the likes of Junior Paulo, Wicks, Watmough and Mannah were too strong in the middle compared to Penrith. The only Panthers forward who can really hold their head up is Brown and it makes me wonder why they didn't swing it out to him more. With the game on the line, Brown on Sandow should have been the go to play on Tackle 3 with a view to go back to him.
Still don't think the Eels will make the finals but this will go down as one of their better outings in 2015.
Penrith can't cop a break at the moment. To lose Moylan early in the contest and Soward later on really hurt them and if there was any game where their young backs were exposed it was this one. DWZ, R. Jennings and Blake have plenty of talent but they're clearly still learning and a couple of their efforts were counter-productive to their teams causes. Mansour should be back next week which will be a big boost but they really need Whare back as well if they want to do anything worthwhile this season.
