I would start McGuire and Blair in the front row and Gillett at lock for the game this week. Let Parker & Thaiday come off the bench to give them a bit of a rest because they played big minutes in origin.

I like that suggestion but I'd give McGuire a rest too with the improving Wallace to start alongside Blair. I'm pretty happy with things at the moment and I trust, rather I know that WB is very aware of the need to nurse a few of the guys along. Not Boydy though, he needs to keep playing. Like I wrote earlier, I'd be happy if there were no changes to last weeks side other than Boyd.

I would much rather see us go all out this match and start with our strongest side. We need this game, we have some tough ones coming up and we need to make sure we put this one away strongly. That means strongest side starting. I would much rather see us start strong, put one of the worst defences to the sword for the first 60, build a strong lead and then rest the origin lads for the remainder of the match. I don't want to see us having to send our origin players out there to chase a lead, and the best chance of avoiding that if going all out to start the match.

Fair enough and I can see your reasoning. For me though, I would rather Parker, Thaiday,Hodges,and McGuire have the extra week off with perhaps Gillette and definitely Boyd back in. I just think it would keep them fresher for the season ahead. The team sent out against Newcastle was stronger than most gave them credit for and I'm pretty sure they could get the job done. I don't see them having to chase a lead rather they would be the leaders. No matter what I want though I'm trusting WB knows full well what's best.

Makes an awful lot of sense, and for mine speed is a the core of our best game: Thaiday in particular with quick play the balls, hookers getting it out quickly and Milford and Hunt having the time and space to get the ball wide where it all happens for us, and Boyd coming up behind the line.

Just fix that defensive line speed
