there is no exemption for Matt Lodge ...
it is the same thing that the NRL allowed the Dragons to do with Packer and before him, the Roosters with Ferguson etc
Certainly not poor, I watched the game today.
It was a hot day and a physical game, Reddy were held up over the line three times. Scored a try backing up the middle to seal the game.
Cleaned up a really dangerous kick in the second half and then beat a few guys to get Reddy out of trouble.
It's a pretty hard gig coming in to fullback, not training with a team and coming back from injury. I would give him a pretty big wrap for what he contributed.
Of course there is a precedent, of players being allowed back and players not being allowed back.
Point being that if the NRL where working against the broncos an individual whom went on a rampage such as Matt Lodge wouldnt be so quick to be training and soon to playing with an nrl side these days.
As for Russell Packer, I have a very soft spot for the tigers, but fair dinkum, his rap sheet in my opinion is worse then Todd Carneys.

They have made him ineligible from playing NRL for 12 months. What would be a suitable length? Two years? Three?
Any longer than 12 months they may as well just say he's banned for life.
I'm not overly supportive of him being at the club, but I don't think the NRL could have acted any differently.

AN Origin-depleted Brisbane Broncos were hit by another blow at training on Tuesday, with gun speedster James Roberts limping off part-way through the session.
The Broncos had already lost six Origin stars for the NRL match against the Warriors in Auckland on Saturday and will be sweating on the fitness of Roberts, who left the Red Hill track early with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

I don't understand Benji starting in place of Niko.
He's been performing well enough and it would have been good to see how he goes with more responsibility with the rep players/McC out.

I'm not sure if I would have made the move, but I'd imagine the move was made for two reasons.
1. Benji is more experienced and can play on either side of the ruck. Nikorima on the other hand has predominately been a right-side player.
2. They'll be up against Shaun Johnson & David Fusitua who will be the focal point of the Warriors attack.

Was kinda hoping to see Isaako or someone untested get a run, but can't argue with the back line. I like the idea of Sims at lock, he performed well there in the pre-season game against the Sharks, underrated defender and passer.
Maybe benji will go back to the bench and kodi starts . Might be all smoke and mirrors
