POST GAME [Round 13, 2023] Broncos vs Warriors

Was interesting that Capewell decided to actually have a crack last night, pretty disappointing that it took him getting dropped from Origin to play hard for once.

Last night he had -

A season high 18 touches, previous season high was 16
A season high 161 running metres, previous season high was 117
A season high 64 post-contact metres, previous season high was 39

That should be the new base line for him, do it every week.

WWOS only credited him for 118 running meters ... I don't know how there can be such between their stats and NRL.com's

some other massive discrepancies:

The attack wasn't as frantic as it has been at times this season and Brisbane ended up with more possession, better completion rate and more points than our season averages without the Origin guys.
I think that might've been because Reyno was the focal point of the attack instead of Walsh.

I feel like Reyno hasn't been going into the line as much as what he was doing last year, and that might be because Reece is so quick across the field that if he deviates away from what they train then Reece will be 15m further away from where Reyno expects him and throwing everything out of whack

If they include metres players step forward off the mark AFB would be on about 700 metres a game

Marty Taupau was responsible for the play of the game for mine.

I thought for sure he would get caught at marker close to the line, he worked hard and got back and then made the try saving tackle.

He played half the game in the middle instead of on the edge. Hardly surprising his work rate was higher

Has Sailor played in the outside backs as well in Qcup, Can't fully remember but didn't he play some wing last year at Logan?

Willison has been charged with a grade 1 dangerous contact. facing a $1000 - $1500 fine.

anyone know what this was for. I don't recall him doing anything charge-worthy

Hip drop I think but they didn’t replay it.

He drove in below the knees of a player being held up in the tackle. You could tell he realised he had done the wrong thing because he kind of pulled up halfway through, but it was too late.

Not bad from Jensen. Just toiled away in the middle.

Fonua-Blake has to be the2nd best FRF in the game at the moment. 18 runs for 216m and 111 post contact metres. So made half of meterage AFTER contact.

Yeah he's been outstanding this season AFB.

AFB has been a gun prop for a while now. Definitely top 3 in the game IMO
