Realistically he is cover for Walsh and Mam, Madden wasn't good playing 6 so it makes sense soo long as he is fine with defending on the line.

We have given quite a few players second chances in their careers like this but without room for them the next season, notably Benji and TMM, I can see him going to another team with more open positions next season tbh.
