POST GAME [Round 13, 2026] - Broncos vs Dragons

We had the same issues with paix last year except Billy would come on and points would nearly happen straight away. Now paix is playing 80 with no one to cover his ass.
Billy was starting hooker last year.

I knew that was coming. It was absolutely deplorable and completely unacceptable. We were losing 30-8 at one stage to one of the worst teams the last decade. Please think about that for a minute and let that sink in.

I know after every loss we all get on here saying seasons over, we rant and we rave etc, but truthfully, I'm completely embarrassed by that game and the season is over. That's as bad as it gets and I can't invest my time and energy into a team that simply doesn't care and it's obvious they don't care. I've been a Bronco since 1991 and that was actually sad. Again look at how we lost and who we lost to. Still think we can make the top 8 let alone win the premiership? LOL. Catch you all next season.

Well, **** off then, don't bother coming back when we're going well.

Fans have a bitch about everything we're doing wrong, bag the ref, bag the coach you get it off your chest but we come back next week.

Cant really comment on the performance of the team as a whole or individuals, but maybe some of these guys are just simply worn out. I've been saying it for years especially with some of our forwards, you cant run them into the ground and expect them to not pick up injuries, as we have seen with Payne for example, or for them to have drops in form.

If this isn’t a sign of a fractured playing group then I don’t know what is….

I don't think so.

That's just a bit of honesty. We've been playing like this for ages, it worked towards the back end of last year when Walsh was in career best form, he hasn't hit those heights this year. That's really the only difference.

We consistently have to try to and get ourselves out of a hole due a mediocre start to the game.

One thing I liked about Billy is he would run the ball. He was smart and fast enough to notice when a marker or defender was out of position and go for a dart

Our lack of youth in the engine room is rather alarming

Agree but then every single time he would take the wrong option.

Yeah we seem to have great second halves a lot.

Just randomly

You cannot deliberately tap, bat, or knock the ball forward in the air and catch it yourself. If you propel the ball forward with your hands and touch it again before it hits another player or the ground, the referee will blow the whistle for a knock-on.

I feel like that Holmes try shouldn’t have been a try. He didn’t catch it but he did tap it forward to gain an advantage

I don't know why people comment that they won't be watching them or supporting them after a loss, literally nobody gives a Fk lol. We are on broncosHQ because we like to watch football even when they are shit

Hunts try to big X was off the Walsh sweep. The Walsh Sweep needs to be the prime game plan and I believe Ben Hunt as the 7 because his strength is seeing space on the short ball
Yeah use Walsh as a decoy... it's a big issue that Ezra has at the moment... Piaks is our best line running forward and he doesn't seem to know how to use him. Even Shiba showed great line running last year, but he can't seem to line him up.

He's got a lot of weapons on that edge, but it looks impotent at times.

I feel like he's just waiting on either Reynolds or Walsh to tell him what to do.

When he plays without Walsh, Reyno gives him the ball and he has a bit more authority on his left (we've seen that in the games earlier this year and the dogs game last year), but when Walsh plays it's like just give Walsh the ball, but he doesn't really straighten up the attack and so he's not really setting anything up out there.

Piaks line running isn't a threat, Ezra's running isn't a threat and Walsh out the back is easier to defend, because they whole defensive line is sliding that way anyway.

Its poor squad management and i think its gone back years. We seem to have an aversion of letting big names walk even if it means the squad as a whole is stronger.

Imo, we dont have enough workmen like players who just turn up and do their jobs every week. We either want the superstars and then we end up supplementing them with the likes of Gos or Jhunt.

Before last year yes but last year I honestly couldn't flaw the bloke he was very good. I don't think he is going to be some miracle player that some fans think he will be, but he is good when he's in form
