His attack still has some flawed moments
When the ball came out of the scrum and Bill was still packed in at hooker was a bit of a blunder . But other than that I thought he was very good .

Yeah that was funny. Actually he misses the ball a fair bit at the PTB. I don't hate it because he's taking the time to workout his options which means he's thinking about how to spend the play. It would all be learning and i would expect he gets better as he continues in the roleWhen the ball came out of the scrum and Bill was still packed in at hooker was a bit of a blunder . Last year the sharks beat two teams in the top 8. This year they have beaten none. Can you expand on this please
They beat parra, melb, coyboys and souths all last year...Last year the sharks beat two teams in the top 8. This year they have beaten none.
I'm giving him a pass mark, but not gushing, is all I'm saying. We're still having to get by with two hookers of about equal moneyball quality. It's got us to the top of the table. It's hard to argue against that - or complain - but I'm still not rating either of them in the top 8 hookers running about the comp. I see what Reece Robson etc can do, and that brings me down to Earth.I don’t mind reading counter points and you make some ok ones here but your bias is still showing through. You are saying he is arguably, basically slightly if at all, better than Turpin. Billy is easily better than Turpin because they both can defend really well but only Billy has anything resembling a decent offensive game. With ball in hand, there is no comparison whatsoever, one was a hand brake, the other is getting the team moving forward with relative ease.
This was the issue, combined with how this situation fell into place.never professed to being a hooker and had never done a preseason in the role.
I don't disagree with any of that.I don’t think I’ve gotten carried away with praise. Credit where credit is due, he has not let the team down over the last 2 weeks and in fact his defence has been bordering on impressive. His attack still has some flawed moments but it is far improved. Based on current form, I am less concerned about him warming the jersey for Mozer over the next 12 months.
