I honestly don't know how Gos keeps getting picked.

We would literally not do any worse with one of the cup backrowers, so why the **** aren't we picking them over him?

Man our team is pretty crap at the moment. Forward depth at an all time low.

Actually, not bad. Left edge has been completely changed which is what I wasn't expecting. We all know Duffy can put tries on too and has a massive boot. Madge possibly thinking to kick the other teams to death if our forwards aren't aiming up? Walsh + Duffy + Reynolds, all long kickers.

But ****, JGos seriously? I mean, I'll give a pass because that left edge has been shocking in defense and attack purely because of Mam and Gem, and now they aren't there.

I mentioned before that I wouldn't be surprised if Aublix gets a run, due to his QCUP form, and looky looky.

A lot of leg speed on that bench though. As long as Priki, Haas and X play some bully ball, I can see them doing some work to break down the ruck.

And in terms of service from dummy half, I have been more worried about our PTB speed. WAY too slow.

You are going to be pressured in defense regardless of how fast the balls comes out of dummy half, especially if we are playing the ball so much slower than the other team. They are already back on side and ready to pushup before Paix even gets the ball.

My only gripe about dropping Ezra is we seem so slow on our attacking plays and dropping the fastest half isn’t going to speed the backline plays up at all
That and I wish Paix or hunt or who ever would run more out of dummy half
**** we miss Billy and his darts from dummy half. Team is way too predictable now without a runner at 9 threatening.

Ezra seems to me to be struggling for acceleration .
He seems to be able to get up to near his top speed (like his chase on Koula)
, but can`t take advantage of space when jogging , or off the mark .
The Ezra we know would have skipped through the tackle or burnt the defenders for speed . He isn`t able to do that recently .

Duffy has a very handy kicking game . Maybe more short kicks on the left ?

He's just a lazy footballer. Effort is there for a highlight reel but not in any other aspect of the game.

Aublix was certainly good/much better on Saturday, but I certainly wouldn't have thought straight back in level of good.

The no missed tackles against the premiers and the kick chase try but I would say that Bryce and/or Francis could have done his 25 minutes and 50m v Titans.

Well if we lose again, I imagine we'll see more dropped. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest.

That said, I also do kind of get it. Both Buks and Mozer are only just back. Shibs and Carrigan out are two other changes already and the cupboard is pretty bare in the forwards unless you bring and undersized 18 year old in.

Duffy get's his shot now to show he can replace Reynolds. just became the front runner IMO.

Unless Mam is on his way out? Maguire did it with Cobbo. Maybe he is ok with running a Pezet-Duffy combo next season. Yes its a leap but I guess it is a possibility now.

the difference being Cobbo was off contract.

I doubt Madge will be ready to give up on Mam yet.

He's going through a rough patch right now, but he has been very good for the majority of his time in the NRL, including both Grand Finals he's played in

Yeah I doubt it too, though that said, he'd have suiters if he is on the outer.

Can`t tackle ?
Or can`t decide who to tackle ?

Front on he`s a very good defender . Decision making with 3 options coming at him ? He`s pretty ordinary I agree .
That`s why I think 13 suits him and the team ATM . Also see if it`s the left side edge crew not communicating and working as a group .

Sad for Tanah Boyd .
Yes he was playing outstandingly . I would want to see if it was able to be sustained before signing him up . Similar to Shiba in that regard .
Seems the newbie was right.

I agree that he had blinders in both GF appearances but definitely disagree that he's been good for a majority of his time.

2023 was an unbelievable year for him but he has regressed since then. Maybe it's because he has Walsh, Reynolds, Hunt as playmakers but he's not providing any value as a 6. The most potent part of his game was his running but he's not making any impact in that area, and his ball playing isn't great either. Add his poor defence and he's a bit of a liability and when you have Duffy, who's showed some great promise in his short stints, it's time for him to have a stint in QRL (though he is on the bench).
