Sadly, I think the 2 are mutually exclusive in this match at least.

If we want to win this, Reed has to play out of his skin defensively (ewww) to control Leilua, and I bet the Raiders will be directing most of their traffic down our left hand side

I honestly didn't think of it as a Blair/Thaiday Demotion/Promotion when I read the team lists until I came on here. I assumed it was to have Blair and Niko coming off the bench together to keep the ruck defence tight. Raiders have a big pack, and love to score tries around the ruck off the back of Hodgson. I think it's a great move.

That's what I was thinking.

I'm thinking this is just a defensive tactic.

I'm thinking Bennett doesn't want to drop Thaiday because he doesn't really have any other option.

But with Gillett back, that pushes him from the second row to either the bench or at prop. I think he doesn't want to put him on the bench because Wallace will provide more impact off it. So he starts him at prop because Blair would be a better option to come on with Niko.

Helps keep the middle defence tight when Niko is on.

I don't mind Thaiday starting. You tell him to go and play out of his skin for 20 minutes (about all he can handle, sadly) and then keep him on the bench until the 60 min mark,
 
Where does jack reed hang out? I can stealthily cap him in the knee when no ones looking.
 
The signs are ominous: playing a team on a roll with a bigger foward pack and a back line who like to throw the ball around. We on the other hand are : on a losing streak, down on confidence and origin tired. Add to that playing footy on a crappy Thursday night.

All adds up to a Broncos win!

Winslow ,i seen Jack Reed an Maranta an a bunch of other football looking player at Chermside mall food court AT least 2 time per week around lunch time. They all dress in baseball hat and walk around like there shit dont smell . May be one of these day he will get food poisoning from eating there an not play for the weekend haha

Don't. He'll still, play, injured, "for the team". Desperately stumbling around like the T1000 in liquid nitrogen, with his lower legs snapped off.

No sign of Jack reed today at the training. Kahu is lines up as centre between Anthony Milford and corey Oates.
