Guys, how does our worst forward last week (Thaiday if u missed it) get rewarded with a starting spot? The bench looks strong without him on it. Happy with Waddell to start ...moose must be too

even though we have been playing really poor last 3 games i still dont hold much fear for this game. i expect milf to have a blinder and us to win by at least 10

Milf to destroy the Raiders and the Greenhouse to call Broncos ***** and blow up that the NRL didn't help them keep Milford.

Did you miss ofa because he most certainly wasn't on the field either

Just watch some of Jonus Pearson's highlights over the last couple of week in the Q Cup and he has been playing pretty well and has all the attributes of a good winger.

Might be a good option for wing if Jack Reed gets dropped and Kahu goes into the centres.

Heheh, love the mind games of TPJ getting a run against the Raiders. Salty greenhouse tears will flow.

But seriously, he's had some impact when I've seen him play and he deserves a chance. It's not the last we've seen of Joe, I'm sure Wayne is giving him a run in the lower grades so he can see how he's progressed during his time in first grade.

Thaiday had him covered in the penalty count but can't argue with u with no hit ups for offa. I will say that I have less tolerance for crap performances from internationals compared to rookies but fair call Mitch

Talanoa and Smokin' Joe both told that Reed is close to being dropped, Chris Garry reporting that there'll be more changes next week if things don't change.

If there was ever a game we need Reed to play like shit, it's this one.

You know he'll score a hat trick now and set Oates up for at least 2.

CAPTAIN two weeks ago, Adam Blair has been benched by Wayne Bennett and he won’t be the last player demoted if Brisbane’s form continues.

If Brisbane’s backline fails to fire against the Raiders this week a reshuffle could occur, with the clash between Raiders brute BJ Leilua and Bronco Jack Reed critical.
Jordan Kahu could be shifted to left centre in coming weeks to get him more involved as he has consistently been Brisbane’s best outside back this season alongside Corey Oates.

Bennett has shown no player is safe. He has promoted Sam Thaiday and benched Blair while 20-year-old Tevita Pangai Jr replaces Joe Ofahengaue.
Brisbane’s backline must fire against Canberra to keep their positions. While Brisbane have lost four of their past five games, they still have great depth.
Brisbane will fancy Reed’s chances against Leilua while Canberra believe they can expose Reed.
Leilua has been in great form for the Raiders in attack but is still erratic defensively, presenting opportunities for Reed and his winger Oates.
Like many Broncos, Reed has been below his best in recent weeks and was poor against the Warriors making three errors.
Kahu is considered a long-term centre at Brisbane and another loss could prompt the reshuffle.

Kahu has played twice at centre this year, in the opening round against Parramatta and against Penrith with the club winning both games.
Leilua is one of rugby league’s many redemption stories. This season is his best ever. He has 65 tackles busts, four tries, five line breaks, 10 line break assists, 38 offloads and averages 120m a game.
However, he can produce poor defensive reads which Reed and Oates could expose. Hooker Travis Waddell has also returned to Brisbane’s starting team with Kodi Nikorima to come off the bench again.
Nikorima has been offered a long-term deal to play in Melbourne’s halves and considering the lack of faith in him as a starter he is likely to take it up.
In bad news for the Broncos, rookie forward Jaydn Su’a could miss two to four weeks with an AC joint injury suffered in Brisbane’s under-20s game against the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Canberra have chosen former Cowboys prodigy Zac Santo as fullback to replace the suspended Jack Wighton.

If we play the way we have been playing for the last 4-5 weeks, we are every chance to get rolled by the raiders. Sticky has done well with rejuvenating that roster and they are playing fairly well, if a little inconsistently this year. I would love for us to make a bit of a statement prior to the bye by putting a bit of a score on them. if we can return to our early season form we should win fairly well.

We need to hold them in the forwards so they do not get a roll on and then use Milford and Hunt to cut them open out wide. Most importantly we cannot let them get an early lead like we did with the warriors.

So close to Reed being dropped... Personally I think Blair has been a lot better than Reed.

Also interesting to see that we have won both games Kahu has played in the centres this year.

The Raider don't have great defence, we should be able to exploit them on the edges.

There's no way Blair has been worse than Thaiday.

Can't wait for Reed to be dropped either.
