Round 14 - Broncos vs. Tigers - Post Match Discussion

The consequences...?? He's scoring us points from there and he hasn't let too many on his own in against us (yes...I'm fully aware of the shitful effeort with the Tigers try last week. That's one of not many)

It's the talent that wins out

......Peter Wallace can't play rugby league, Corey Norman can.

Nah mate, that's bias, you can never ever put talent above attitude and work ethic in sports, ever!
And the bold bit tells me you haven't been paying attention! :001_rolleyes:

Norman's lack of guts and his failure to pass the ball when there is a try on offer will NOT win us games against the top sides, so why bother when we could be getting Kahu experience

Unless someone knows we have Barba next year in which case it doesn't really matter

I'd like to think we stop playing Norman if we know we are not signing a top line fullback. Very little to gain by playing Norman when we could be playing whoever we intend on playing fullback next year in the position. I hope Hook does it sooner rather than later.

How soon? When or if it becomes clear that, because Norman didn't pass when a try was on offer, and but for that we would have won against a top side.

Someone also mentioned the large amount of metres he made. I assume that includes running sideways, and also fielding a large amount of kicks and running 10 metres before his slowness gets him flattened

Why not

1. Hodges
6. Prince
7. Wallace
14. Norman.

Bring Norman on for Macca.

Shove him in at 6 and Wallace into dummy half.

Let Hodges roam at fullback.

Hodges just isn't up to Fullback. He would be out injured a lot of we made him do more running and work.

I just watched the post match press conference and fell asleep. No wonder the 10 minutes after halftime are a problem.
The best thing that came out of this game is that someone worked out that NO DOZE needed to be handed out at halftime.
Hopefully they remember to pack them for the New Zealand trip

10m is a bit generous...

But deadset I hate watching his kick returns, absolutely pathetic.

Good win but against a horrible Tigers, could be the start we need though.

Don't know if it's been raised though did anyone notice how they all reacted together when tries were scored or a good defensive play was done? They all were rushing in patting each other on the back etc etc, pumping each other up. Hodges was leading the way. Kinda like Ryan at the Sharks.

Self belief is the start and it looked like it is finally sinking in to them, getting behind each other. Massive test coming up, and if we keep this up we can roll the Warriors at home.

Griffin doesn't seem to be thinking about the future. All he cares about is the now, probably because he's just trying to survive. He'll never drop Norman or take a real punt on the unproven Hunt at halfback and Baptiste/Granville on the bench. .

And this pisses me off too. This year is gone. GONE. Start to work for next year, FMD. How would Hook feel as a young bloke in the 20's or Q-Cup, watching the Broncos play and seeing Norman's pea heart rewarded week after week after week? He has no respect for the jersey. **** him. And **** Hook for allowing the rot to continue. So very un-Bronco-like.

Norman's kick returns are really annoying. Have watched a fair few games this year. Every other fullback seems to speed up when they hit the line. Norman slows down. Drives me bonkers. We are constantly starting sets on the back foot with no momentum.

How is the year gone? it's not gone and is far from gone. Yeah the team is playing like shit most weeks however we are one win out of the 8. Until we are zero chance of making the finals the year is not gone.

The year is gone because we have no hope of winning.

So stop watching and curl up in a ball or something, Brisbane are still in the race. Hell with a good run even the Tigers could make the finals.
