Round 14 Discussion

Parramatta 22
Canterbury 12

Wasn't watching too closely since delayed Rugby League is for chumps but based on what I saw, the scoreline flatters the Bulldogs a fair bit. The Eels pulled up a little better than the Dogs and it was really a nice afternoon for them. Chris Sandow was back to his dynamic best and the likes of Pauli & Redradra (who the commentators spent the entire afternoon talking about) played a nice hand to.

Didn't see a whole lot from Canterbury. Thompson scored a couple of determined tries but it just didn't seem like their afternoon and with injuries to Perrett & Klemmer they've really hit their first wall of 2014. I think they've done very well to win the 8 games they have so far but if they cannot beat the Raiders this Friday they could be well and truly on struggle street.

Inu once again proved that he's brain-fart incarnate.

Roberts opens the scoring for Melbourne.

Pretty simple stuff really, put a nice move on Ridge, Bailey was slow to react and Zillman was beaten all ends up in cover.

Well that explains it. Ridge has come on for Henry who's done his PCL and could be out for the rest of the season.

The Titans halves are cursed.

10 all.

Bout to be 12-10 to the Titans with Romelo binned for an innocuous binning.

I like the decision but gee what a time to decide it's worth a binning.

16-14 Titans with 16 to play.

Titans had an opportunity to win the game there but Srama's service from dummy half was horrible.

Play has stopped while Chambers gets carted off the field with what appears to be a serious leg injury...or not.

He's back up now and it appears he'll play on, either way he's showing a ton of courage.

Andy Raymond is reporting a nasty cut just below the knee, well there you go.

Nice weekend. Had a little bit on both the Eels and Storm. While I didn't necessarily tip them, they were both higher odds than I would have expected, and Origin almost makes games a 50/50 lottery. Storm were over $3, yoink!

Losing to the Storm without Slater, Cronk or Smith. Maximum LOL.

That's unfair on the Titans tbh.

They were missing Sezer, Kelly, Bird, Carter and Taylor. Considering they lost Harrison for most of the game and lost their only natural playmaker for the entire game in Henry, really they did well to make it as far as they did.

Only difference between both teams was Bromwich. Best front rower in the game at the moment.
