PRE-GAME Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos

Absolutely nothing mate but Kahu is a liability at centre and I belive that Wayne will go with Kahu over Isaako at wing if it comes to it

I'll take that bet.

sweet, where did you hear this
https://www.broncos.com.au/news/2018/05/25/injury-update---james-roberts/

JAMES Roberts has had scans on his left ankle this morning after leaving the field early last night in the win over the Eels.
Broncos' medical staff said today Roberts had only left the field as a precaution and there was not much to worry about.
"James has had a precautionary scan today and there was no significant damage found," said Broncos' High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans.
"He does have some soreness in the Achilles' area, but that is something we have been monitoring for a period of time now."
Roberts was again strong in the Broncos' 18-10 win over the Eels, before leaving the field in the 60th minute.

Honestly I'm not sure where Kahu fits in our side anymore. Isaako is just a better version of him in almost every physical attribute, as well as kicking.

For mine, Isaako and Oates have locked down the wing positions. Roberts has locked down one center position.

And hopefully Bird locks down the other centre position post-Origin.

Kahu is a lethal fullback, or give him a couple more games at centre to get his eye in a bit more.

This was aimed at the fella who said he doesn’t know where Kahu fits anymore.

Watching the game in the north tonight, Melbourne are entirely beatable this season, moreso than they've been in years. If we keep on forcing errors with solid defence, they will deliver us plenty of possession.

Kahu would go fine at FB if Boyd realised he wasn’t fit for grade anymore. Shame really as someone (Kahu or Isaako) will be a bench player and force Staggs back to reserves

It's highly likely that Melbourne will beat us regardless of their form tonight.

The times we have beaten the Storm down there in recent years, we had a run of good wins going into that game, we were building confidence and improving. Despite the win last night, I just didn't see enough improvement in this side to think we can beat them down there. We made a lot of silly errors and made some absolute diabolical decisions in attack.

Any chance of all our injured players coming back?
1. Boyd
2. Kahu
3. Staggs
4. Roberts
5. Oates
6. Milford
7. Bird
8. Lodge
9. Macca
10. TPJ
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. McGuire
14. Nikorima
15. Offa
16. Su’a
17. Thaiday (only because I know Bennett will pick him anyway)!

Couple changes for me. Kahu was a liability last night at centre. He needs to go to the wing and unfortunately that means somebody misses out and that isn’t going to be Oates! Nikorima to the bench which I hate because it takes up a spare bench spot but he is good from there. And Staggs has impressed me a hell of a lot in his couple of games. Give the kid a go! He looks head a shoulders above Tommy in my opionion!

I'm enjoying the current generation next for our forward pack. It's a breath of fresh air win or lose. Haven't missed gillet, sims, McGuire or Glenn at all to be brutally honest.

I’m enjoying it too but you would be mad not to pick McGuire and Gillett in the starting side if they are fit. I’ll be happy for Su’a to keep his starting spot and Glenn to come off the bench when he is back.

For me the big question is what happens when bird is fit. If he goes to centre that means either Kahu or Isaako miss out. Isaako has been good the last two games but people forget quickly his defence has been questionable on at least a couple of occasions where Kahu on the other hand is a very solid defender. Both are good finishers from what I’ve seen. What I don’t want to see is one of the two sitting on the bench. That would be a complete waist of a bench spot!

My choice: Isaako but only just

Isaako's kicking and big game moments have earned us at least 4 competition points, probably 6 this season. For mine he is a lock in for the starting squad. I see him as our future fullback if the Wallabies don't steal him first.

Assuming Glenn still out if not Glenn on bench instead Thaiday.

It's nice to want things

Dargan has his best game last week, nice field goal, try running the ball and guys hanging back and he just went, controlled the game in the first half when Norths had a good start- nice kick for their first try.

Easily his best game. Missed some tackles but any half is going to do that. Tonight up against Clifford which will be a good show and Lowe putting pressure on him back for the Pride.
