POST GAME [Round 15, 2023] Broncos vs Knights

Knights deserved that.

Great to pull out the win. Probably wouldn't have happened last year.

What I'm most please with is the completion rate in the second half 18/19 sets completed. Need that for the whole game.
Yep Knights were the better team tonight, that's what makes this win nice and juicy.
The Bye will do these blokes wonders.

Thought Newcastle really came to win tonight, was a hard fought win and we got the win through our teams ability to find the W

Woukdnt have surprised me on the least of Newcastle got the win and went and got flogged the week after, teams always turn up for broncos @ home.

Pane's metres at the back end of that second half gave us the roll on we needed.

Sometimes you take for granted just how good the big fella is.
yeah there was a noticeable difference when Patty and Haas came on, Knights where getting folded in the middle, which allowed Walsh and the Halves to be at their best to take control.

He had a few good runs, but by Payne's standards he was actually pretty average tonight. They are high standards, don't get me wrong, but he was well contained most of the night their forwards had the stick over ours.

Knights were better tonight - shredded our edges. Credit to them. Only really a competent kicker away from some serious scoreboard pressure.

Paikura was very impressive.

Our back three really need to work on diffusing bombs.

Smoothy was quick out of the ruck but was clearly nervous (and fair enough) but that silly kick on the 5th could have been costly, just like that ghastly pass that Walsh held onto. In any case, keen to see where he goes.

Anyway. There is my hot shit take after too many rums. **** I love this club.

Holy **** that was a hard watch.

Basically only turned up for 30mins at the backend of the game and had to strangle it away from knights who were scrambling for everything.

Yup, too many errors in the back three at this point of the season. To survive in finals - you can't put a top team on your try line - one drop can be the game.

Got away with it, good to see the boys stick in and get it right at the death. The Reynolds try was brilliant.

We’re the Broncos
The mighty Broncos
We keep fighting every second till the end

We’re the Broncos
The greatest team on earth
We’re the heart of all Queensland

Never stop
We never rest
On and on we beat the best
Never giving up we bleed maroon and gold

For the league
We risk it all
Miles above
We’re standing tall
We’re the finest and the greatest club of all

We’re the Broncos
The mighty Broncos
We keep fighting every second till the end

We breathe in our soul
The best game of all
We are the Broncos of Queensland

Hey!!

Well

The Broncos are our name
Through the north we won our fame
Being handy with the ball
And we drove the Blues insane
And we put on a move
And we scored a certain try
So sing out our alibi

You didn’t know we had to beat ya
And we’re so sorry my friends
You didn’t know we had to beat ya

We will never do it again

Bullshit

We got the two points, now let us never speak of this match again.
I disagree, let's talk a lot about this game.

We were not at our best whereas the Knights were really up for the challenge.

We were actually outenthused for most of the game yet still we found the will to win.

THAT is the hallmark of a champion team.

for most of it, but they don't have the precision finishers we have to ice it out, we are a top team for a reason, backing up off a tough win against a team that was fully up for it we have to accept how good that was.

Yeah I don't think you can be hard on smoothy on debut for a match like this to come into and besides outside of that poor choice of a grubber can't say he did anything wrong anyway.
