Well if he's still playing for the Broncos then he doesn't play in the game where he injures his shoulder. It's not like it was an injury that was inevitable, that it would have happened regardless. It was just completely random.

From what I've seen from Baker I'm mystified how he is even in top grade, but surely he must have shown something at some point in his career, you can't be totally shit and then luck yourself into an NRL contract?

I'm pretty sure that was his third season ending shoulder injury.

Suffered his first in 2017 in 20s, then suffered another in 2020 to add to the Broncos misery. So it may have only been a matter of time.

I am in no way denying the reality that the Broncos played poorly and coughed up way too much ball, that is of course very true.
But something else is very true. That in the midst of terrible ball handling and missing 2 of our 3 start spine, the ACTUAL scoreboard read 2 tries each (1 Souths try off a blatant forward pass and another off Cobbo's dropped catch that was clearly backwards)

The game is so tight that you only need to be off by 1 or 2 percent and you get smashed. We were off by about 30% and still didn’t get completely blown away. The season will turn for the better but not until origin is over.

Irrespective of how much we keep loosing by, cheap turn over of footy & giving away cheap meters and playing 80min only in our own side is killing us.
Butter fingers and dumb plays should be eradicated.

Put the fuckin egos away & play as a team is imperative.
