Hodges will probably play next week and I think Gillett has another week to wait. Anyone know if Carlaw will be out?

If we can play like we did in the majority of that game again, with the inclusion of Hannant and Parker to our depleted pack which just dominated one of the biggest in the comp, then we should see a good platform laid for Norman and Wallace to have another great game hopefully. As well as this we will have a bucket load more strike power if Hodges is back.

I'd go with the team Big Pete named but with Carlaw and Lui in for Kenny and Gillett (unless he is back). Kenny has been pretty shocken lately and looked completely stuffed or lazy in defence for most of the game. Lui played well and Carlaw has a heap of experience and are better options at the moment.

I'm pretty excited to see Norman play again, although it will be against a far stronger team than the Raiders so it will be a big test for him. If he can put another good game together, and link well with Norman again then it will be 3 good games in a row from him which is promising signs for 2012. Not getting too excited yet though.

If we have Hodgo, Yow Yeh, Hannant and Parker return, I am confident that we can do it. The attitude of Hodgo and hard work of Hannant and Parker is what we were missing to keep us in it for the 80 against the Raiders.

Absolutely.
If we had Hodges and Parker playing today we would never have fell apart.

I'm very confident we can win against St George, we always play well against them.

Anyone remember in Pulp Fiction when the black guy is getting raped? Well the Broncos are going to play the black guy this week. Except Bruce isn't going to be there to help us out.

It is so stupid to have NRL games on Origin week. Piss. Off.

This game will be grinded out. It will probably be a very low scoring game so the team who can grind better will win. That's usually the Dragons but they won't be full strength either so we are a big chance. We can win this game. Keep things simple and tight and we will be in with a good chance.

Are we talking about football or how your third child was conceived? [icon_razz1

Bring Henjak back for this game, he seemed to always get the best out of the team when playing the Dragons.

Might as well get Sims back too while you are at it, Alec. icon_smile

What do people think we should do with our pack when Gillett comes back in a few weeks? Gillett always played on the left, and since getting injured Glenn has moved into his position on the left and has been absolutely carving and has formed a great combination with Wallace there. Unless Thaiday moves to front row, you would expect Gillett to play off the bench, at least until Te'o returns which I think will push Thaiday into the front row to make way for Te'o. I know a lot of people think the left side/right side specialist thing is a load of rubbish, but it is quite obvious both Glenn and Gillett have been playing their best on the left. So who do we move? Glenn played alright on the right, but I've never seen Gillett play there.

All the origin boys bar Thaiday will play ;)

I think Gillett is versatile enough to play on either side.

It sucks because it does weaken Thaiday... But he NEEDS to play front row, we have so many second row players, Thaiday is the one most capable of playing at Prop.

Hannant/Thaiday start.

Teo,Glenn,Parker start

We have so many players we need to develop, and Hala as you said is one.. But at the same time we have so many players ready for first grade who don't look out of place. What was it tonight 12 players out? Depth at Brisbane is unreal right now.

Really? So many? I dunno. Hala has been a stand out. Had 1 average game, rest have been very mature. Can't say the same about the development of Copley, Norman, etc.

Norman and Copely will both be stars given time, Im sure you joined in the arguement on facebook about Copely haha

Well Hala is unique in that he looks like a real prop. He and mcGuire are our front row future.

Need to be 2 of the props to join Hannant. Anderson, Kenny, Carlaw, depth options at best.

Judging from what you just said.

Hannant/Anderson/Hala/McGuire

Wait, isn't Anderson leaving?

Agree with coxy about McGuire and Hala. If they develop well while Hannant leads the way, I'll be feeling alright about the future of our front row. Some more depth would be nice though, but I'm sure that will happen in time.

I think big Dodds will also prove to be a great prospect up front.

Norman I can see, Copley not yet. But even norman has a long way to go. He's got years of maturity in front of him where I see Hala really maturing much earlier.[/quote:1ueynn5f]

I watch a fair bit of Dave playing for Redcliffe and trust me he has plenty to learn as well. His performances for us so far have been very good but he does have the tendancy to go missing at times, and can be very lazy as well. Hook knows him well though so I'm sure he will keep him on his toes. And in saying that I do agree that he is the future of our front row.

Hala will be maturing when he is capable of playing big minutes not when he makes a few big runs. Great potential but the Hala flavoured Jizz is madness.
