I cant recall for how many games or even what year it was, but i remember a small period where Joffa was playing some big minutes and pulling some big numbers and looked very much a state of origin player.

For me tonight is do or die for him, he's 24, played 100 games and really should he hitting his peak. I'd be telling him he's expected to lead the pack tonight and play 60+ quality minutes. If he fails then i can't see where he fits into a fully fit broncos 17 next year. I've always felt he's played better when he's left out there for long stints and shows the big motor he supposedly has.

Also interested to see how kennedy goes, he's been solid and done his job and i feel like he could be a guy who might suprise and relish the extra responsibility of starting. One of those Melbourne storm like players who just rises to every occasion and always does his job.

Of course they could all be pure rubbish and we go down by 40 again as well.

I didn’t think Joffa was that bad last week (still not good), signs of improvement but I stopped watching with 20 to go as well.

Offa has one extremely precise role that he's actually quite good at. Playing the middle 45-50 minutes of the game off the bench either side of Half time. If we left him there to do just that job he'd likely still be giving us a good return.

The problem is, in basically every other role, he's bordering on useless. If we aren't going to play him in the very niche role I mentioned above, then we're probably better off not playing him at all.

Don't worry guys, we will win the first half easily.

2018 was his best year, and it was around the time his missus had her cancer diagnosis and he really stepped up playing lock mostly iirc. It seemed like the start of him going to the next level as a forward but he’s really fallen off from that standard. I agree he’s best playing the middle 35-40 mins of a game in the middle. Give Patty and Payne a rest so they can come back on for the rest of the game and be fresh.

He’s the sort of guy that really needs to inject some controlled aggression into his play too

I'm not so sure. The Dragons are a weak side with no chance of a playoff berth but are galaxies better than the Broncos. Matt Dufty will run rings around them and McClune and Norman will be big factors. StG by 32.

Our forward back seams so weak. How did we get here ...

We genuinely need to win this one to have some spoon breathing space. Canterbury look like their close to an upset one of these weeks.

Don't you just worry about that! Kennedy will impersonate Haas tonight but sadly, it will make little difference. The Hole in the defensive line will allow the Stains to score plenty adjacent the posts, all converted. I wonder how many tries the Hole will allow past him?
