That tackle doesn't warrant a ban at all, and wouldn't face a ban at the other 15 clubs. I would like to see it again but I don't feel Haas could have done anything differently and the attacker made the move which resulted in the tackle ending that way.

It's a fucking joke of a suspension but we won't fight it because there's no point.

I don't disagree with your side. You named the best team possible. "Ugh" is just my normal reaction these days when team list Tuesday comes around.

Won't make a difference. He has been the mainstay of a middle field defence that has been continuously attacked by opposing teams.

He is more Hindmarsh then Petero or Webke - just comes and cuddles players to get the stats up.

Should be playing lock if you want him playing 80 mins.

Just went in to watch the Crusher tackle (74min in). Two weeks is ridiculous.

In this shit show of a season this is a game we should be targetting to win... back at home and against a fellow struggler. Even though the dragons have been playing better they are still only 2 wins ahead of us.

The game last round would've been pretty emotional for them and they may have some complacency coming up to QLD to play the broncos, because we ARE the worst team in the comp.

Unfortunately we don't have TPJ for this game, we really needed him to take on the dragons forwards in the middle and create a point of difference.. We do still have Fifi on that right edge (well for 6 more weeks anyway) and given he represents our only real attacking threat out there (along with Staggs) I suspect our attacking options will be geared towards that edge of the field.

Anyway let's hope they decide to change the rules and not have a half time break for this game... maybe we should just leave the players on the field over half time and keep kicking the ball around

EDIT... Just saw the NRL has decided that us losing 50% of our squad to injury or suspension wasn't enough and have decided to send Haas on a two week break as well (maybe they're worried about his welfare and feel he needs a break)... that basically kills any chance we had for this game, so see you guys for next week's pre-game thread

Haas getting suspended is absurd. There was deadset nothing in it. That's worse than when TPJ jumped on Maloney on the ground. Players have deliberately done crushers much worse which would actually seriously injure someone and have gotten nothing. I don't even recall those incidents even being put on report. The mind boggles.

Haas getting suspended might really be for the best. He probably needs a break, both physically and mentally. This season is fucked anyway.
