Never saw the game but it sounds like our second half fade almost cost us again.

What can you even say about this? Big invidivual efforts got us the win again. Our spine is really, really poor in attack.

Monster game from Oates, fantastic game from Ofa, great first half from Lodge. Nikorima had probably his best game of the season, how long will that last though?

FFS. Went straight to the penalty stats to see 6-6. Is that correct. It seems every single fucking time we had the Sharks pinned, the refs would manufacture a ghost penalty to put them on the attack. The last two Sharks tries were just fucking gifted to them. And yet they were lying all over us all night, Lewis was offside a good 3 or 4 times (though he did get pinged once). It just feels like ruck penalties are just so easy to manufacture so that's where the refs go for piggybacks.

Very nearly. First set of six after half time Milf boots it out on the full, so far out it was ridiculous.

That sinking feeling started at that point...

Happy to win obviously but you could write an essay using this game on everything that is wrong with this team. Going to sleep in the 2nd half, conceding a try off missed tackles then giving away a stupid penalty immediately after, no support for line breaks, Boyd flapping his arms at the refs, McGuire dying with the ball on the 4th, McC with the hopeless dummy half runs.....

But hey Nikorima had his best game of the year and we beat the Sharks in front of their scumbag fans. Every cloud has a silver lining.

**** off. Both halves played to their strengths. Milford scored a try. Nikorima manufactured a line break out of nothing that should have been a try if Taga just drops it on Milf's chest. Boyd is the one who put Oates over with one of his textbook plays.

The only reason the Sharks were even in it was because of the refs. The Sharks were dropping the ball cold, yet how did the stats end up so even? Because every penalty the Sharks got was on the 4th or 5th, they were gifted field position that they were only afforded because they were behind on the scoreboard and the refs must adhere to Closest Competition Ever.

Some things to like, just as many not to like.

But I suppose, to be constructive, Cronulla have won 7 of 8 (or close to it) and are such a gritty team that will not beat themselves.

So we obviously did enough right to get the win. Leave it at that I suppose.

God our defense is so brittle..or the sharks were awesome.

If it wasn't for that freak TPJ play at the start, and a few ref calls going our way. That was game over.
