God I hope we're at full strength for this game.

But I have a feeling this game is one of the reasons why Bennett was resting players.

I really really want to win this one. Not as much as last night's game but the Storm have had the wood on us for awhile so it would be nice to beat them.

I'd also say Hodges will almost certainly be rested. As usual.

Parker will play but one of Gillett, McGuire or Thaiday will probably be rested too.

Not since Round 2, 2009 have the Broncos beaten a Storm side containing Cameron Smith. If you want to be cynical and say that that doesn't count because of a dodgy try, the last time the Broncos genuinely beat a full-strength Melbourne side was the 2006 Grand Final.

One positive, Koroibete is out.

pretty exciting times for the broncos at the moment and this will be a huge test for us. i hope we are basically full strength - and i also hope the storm are too - if we get a win it will be all the more satisfying.

You'd think Slater would probably be an out with his dodgy shoulder.

I've been waiting for this match all year.

If we beat the Storm, and do it in a convincing fashion, I'm happy to consider us as actual premiership contenders.

Please beat the Storm scum, I'm absolutely sick of them beating us for what seems like forever now.

It's pretty amazing how we are 3 from 3 during the Origin period so far this year. And we've still got 2 byes left. I'm pretty sure we play the Knights after the Storm, that has to be as close to a guaranteed win as you can get, right? If we win this too, it could go down as arguably our best Origin period ever?

On that line of thinking Alec, can anyone here even imagine this scenario: Wayne Bennetts Broncos, top of the table with 24-26 competition points, Origin is over, the team is full of young, vibrant players who are pretty much all in career best form in the longest premiership drought in the clubs history.

I tell you what, history would suggest that a top of the table team led by Bennett would be hard to stop even if Origin did have a tangible negative effect on the side. I can't wait to see how they do if Bennett can finally navigate us through an Origin period unharmed.

This is how Bennett should approach this game:

I finally get to go to a Broncs game this year!!

We're due a win against them. If we don't win here we'll definitely win when we play them at home.

Depends on who both teams have backing up from origin. Hopefully one of Slater, Cronk or Smith are rested.

Storm couldn't beat Manly. We flogged Manly.

We've got this.

Curious one for me is whether Maranta or Vidot plays. I imagine Hodges gets rested and both end up playing. Would expect one of Mcguire, Thaiday or Parker to be out as well.
