Who cares what the players say about being rested... Coach makes the call for the benefit of the team. Better to risk one game then the next ten. Open to other suggestions as other teams handle the origin period better but maybe they just have to admit Broncs just don't know how to handle it.

My theory on Moga is that he is not passing to Oates to lure the opposition into thinking he won't pass and then when the opposition least expect it, all of a sudden, he will start passing.

So bomb 10 trys to set 1 up, before the opposition cotton on that he can pass?

ANTHONY Milford will undergo a period of rehabilitation after scan results of his injured shoulder were reviewed this morning.
While his injury does not require an operation at this time, Milford is expected to have six weeks of rest before he is able to take the field again.
Milford was seen by specialist Dr Peter Rowan this morning.
“Anthony will not require surgery at this point and will undertake a period of six weeks of rehabilitation,” said Broncos’ High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans.
“At this moment it is not a season-ending injury, and he will be re-assessed when that rehabilitation period is over.”
There were no other injury problems for the Broncos out of Friday's victory over the Rabbitohs.
In other injury news from the weekend, back-up halfback Todd Murphy suffered a broken collarbone playing for the Norths Devils against Ipswich on Saturday.
David Mead has a rib problem but is expected to be fit to play for for Wynnum Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup this weekend.

Fucking hell..

We are having very little luck in the halves this year.

Let's hope it's no more than 6 weeks..

If that timetable doesn't change, there's a chance he could be able to return for Round 20 against the Bulldogs.

But thankfully we have the best depth in the halves that we've had since Hunt was playing bench hooker.

I still believe Milford will only miss the Canberra and maybe Storm game. His shoulder was not dislocated; rather than a subluxation. In the meantime Hunt to play the TV QCup game this Sunday and baring injury should return to 5/8 against the Raiders. Kodi to 7 and Benji to the bench. Also interesting Storm have injury concerns with Blair and McLean both out for 4 plus weeks. Glass half full brothers.

Well with Corey & Sam not in the Origin squad, that should help out for the Raiders game as they don't have to backup

Yeah, I'm just waiting for the Ben Elias or Rothfield whinge on Fox that it's a Broncos conspiracy to put club before state in not picking them.

Hopefully this fires Thaiday up and he puts in a performance like he did in Round 6, 2015.

I'd rest the three origin boys now since Sam and Corey (which for Oates I still can't believe) aren't playing.

So:

1. Kahu
2. Oates
3. Roberts
4. Moga
5. Pearson
6. Marshall
7. KNik
8. Sims
9. Macca
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Sua
13. Arrow

14. Hunt
15. TPJ
16. Joffa
17. Thaiday

Yeah, though it feels like McGuire could play 120 minutes a week and play at the same high level and never get tired.

Pearson wont ever get in over me or more precisely wont outdo meadys form to push past

I'm also in denial and think Milford will be back in less than 6 weeks.

Like it but probably Mead over Pearson if fit. Given only 3 origin players we have a near full strength I'd play McGuire at prop, Blair to second row and Joffa out. Rest McGuire later in season against lower team.
