[Round 17, 2022] Broncos vs Dragons

There has been many other games to take this argument to Staggs…he has put his hand up so far this game

I dont think he has personally. He's on the big money, he's a key player, we need to see more from him. We know he can do it and just like with Milford when he was here, we should expect our highly paid players to lead by example.

Reynolds is having another bad game but I really like how he is bringing staggs into the game with early ball. Obviously a plan with sulis shocking defence. It's working so far
He's not right mate. He's soldiering on - if we had a full strength team today, I'd wager he sits it out. But as we're missing basically most of a full run on side worth of players, he's gritting his teeth and playing on. Doing better than last game though.

Yeah well you need to do better Telstra. I get spam calls every other day

only issue I have seen from Hosking today is he likes to let the defender run to him rather then press the line, not the best habit to have.
He's got great line running and good in defence. Only problem is he catches it flat footed every time. Might be a communication thing with mam.
As good as hosking has been if robati was playing like he did the other week with the mam connection he seemed to have I think he'd be having a field day

I don't think we will ever get that from him unless he is moved to the backrow, but that will probably dull his attacking ability a bit, even still he could be a mega back rower.

Saints have been really fast in ruck speed. Our middle is getting found out. We should try control that ruck a little more. I'm still nervous about this game. Reynolds will have his work cut out. Agree that Tesi needs to take a step back. He obviously feels like he needs to prove himself with so much competition.

7 runs for over 100 meters has been the pick of the backs in terms of involvement…like I say other games I agree with your view 100%…to piss on his cornflakes so far today seems like personal dislike…

Another point in games like this, we need more from our big players like Staggs. You compare him to say Manu when the Rorters are short handed and he is always trying to make things happen. Kotoni is anonymous.
Really? Staggs has been everywhere. I don’t know if it doesn’t translate on TV but Staggs trying everything he can. Also, how is that a fair comparison with Manu as when the big guns are out he plays either 1 or 6. Not sure what more Staggs can do this game from centre.

Good: we're winning.
Mixed: Brenko.
Bad: Disappointed with Willison.
Ugly: Niu will need to score two more tries to make up for how shit he is at everything else.

Gamble can fill in for him if he’s not right. Will need Reynolds firing for the run up towards the finals.

It’s no secret Wolfie doesn’t like him

him being on big money and not being a dominant centre week in week out just adds to it

Before the game I thought if the Broncos were a shot it'd have to be the spine players who stood up. However they've largely struggled through out the game with either poor execution, poor timing or poor decision making at crucial times. In the end, it's the Dragons poor discipline that's gifted Brisbane a 57% share of possession that's allowed the Broncos to grab a HT lead.

Hosking for me has been the pick of the Broncos thus far. It's been a real tradesman like effort and while he isn't doing anything flashy and at times should have found a pass he's one of the few players showing some initiative with the footy.

It hasn't been pretty but the fact the Broncos are more than a chance at HT is a positive.

73% completion rate is not good enough given the amount of good ball we've had.

We desperately need the dragons to fatigue in the back end, but I'm not sure we've made them do enough work even though they've been down to 12 for half of that first half.
