Always feels like we are missing 1 or 2 important players.

We were full strength (or thereabouts) both times we were beaten by the Roosters. Give or take Willison for Baker/Taupau. It's not really fair to include Te Kura as full strength given he's only played 24 minutes in a Broncos jersey.

I’ve probably been guilty of being a bit overzealous in the past to see new faces named in our team list graduating through q cup and other secondary pathways ahead of time, but I’d have thought we’d at least see a specialist second row named on our extended bench over a second hooker this week.

Hetherington may be a better overall player, but I’d sooner a lesser player who plays close to 80 in that position in lower grade and hungry for a shot to prove themselves. If nothing else, why not bring a Patston or Stuckey into the extended bench and in and around the boys this week? There’s no/minimal cap complications with that as far as I know.

Who’s to say they can’t become a hosking type revelation or rise to the occasion if given a shot in first grade?

Factually correct but the second game against them sucked because Arthars was gone in 15 minutes and Reyno 3mins into the second half. Then we got it back to 18 all and Mariner was binned for looking at Turdesco.

Even in round 1 Piakura was knocked out earl. Just shows that even when full strength our luck is fucked.

Because last game against the Panthers they dog shotted our fullback in the first 10 minutes and had to shift our entire backline to replace him.

Agree with Oates on the bench, but for Karapani to the wing. Keen to see Mariner show what he can bring at centre where he was so highly touted, combined with how woeful karapani’s defensive positioning was shown to be at centre.
Plus Karapani has been playing the nuggety, yardage role as a winger in Burleigh really well of late. I’d like to see him bring that to our first grade squad which we’ve lacked of late.

I thought they just have to be on report? I thought the issue was because he passed his HIA
