It's a great tactic against the rushing defence. Imagine you sprint out of your line then realise you have to sprint 30 metres or you're caught in no man's land. All of a sudden you need to make a decision out of 2-3 options with some bloke sprinting at you from 30 metres out.... now repeat for 3 tackles. It's the recipe for Penrith/warriors and bulldogs and their "line speed"/5 metres

Thought that for a while .
Defence off side and rushing . Stand deeper and use decoys .

What a game!! .. we won ugly but .. hey .. we won!! and it was somewhat pleasurable to hear the air sucked out of the Fox commentary box as Ginnane and Cronk had to eat a real quick and bitter chunk of humble pie as we rolled over the top of the Dogs in that 13 minute firestorm. It was also great to see some passionate reaction from Madge ... nothing against Kev but if he'd still been in the box after that winning try he'd probably have an expression that suggested Carty had just 'cut the cheese' :)

I thought that was a glimpse of what`s to come in a year or two when he takes over from Captn Coach Reynolds .
The kick he put down into the corner , late was gold .

Too many. He needs to calm his shit, he's supposed to be the steady head in the team. Been a mostly disappointing season thus far from him on balance tbh, some great games but some absolute ****ing shockers as well.

Wow weird game. Reyno did his best to lose it.
Pretty sure he can't count to 5. So many early kicks which did little except lose possession when we had very little.
A lot of good performances and some very good D which forced a lot of mistakes.
I always had the feeling we could get back in it but didn't see that avalanche of points.
So good to see some shape and deception along with hard line running and Ezra nailing the correct pass every time. Break out game for him as far as his attack and kicking goes.
I can't wait to see our full side on the park, it's scary to think how many points we have in us if we put a full 80 together .
Trying not to get carried away by the importance of that win but I'm a little excited.

Will I agree that the dogs second try was an absolute fluke, and Kikau getting away with two strips, I think it was from us never going away if defence. Such grit, resolve, and playing for 80 minutes.

It reminded me of the 23 grand final, expect we went on with it, rather than chocking. Very mature win with a host of stars out.

I’m not too upset on the Staggs call. It looked like a loss carry live, then was fairly inconclusive on replay - his arm had wrapped the ball, wasn’t any clear pulling motion though. It was Staggs movement that dislodged it
