They have timed this run perfectly, when they inevitably drop a few games there's still ten rounds to be finals-ready.

This is easily one of the best chances Cronulla has to break their premiership drought. Unlike 2008 this team really has some great attacking players which are making them very entertaining to watch and it's paying off for them, they are 5th for points scored. They are really well rounded with Barba, Holmes and Bird in the backs, Maloney and Townsend as halves and they've got a great forward pack so the opportunity is there to be taken for the Sharks. Flanagan is also one of the best coaches in the game at the moment.

Sorry, I led everyone up the garden path - there has only been four with 13 or more straight wins in a season. The others stretched into the next season.

Great win to the Sharks . If the Broncos cannot win this year I hope the Sharks go on to win it all. No team deserves it more and it would be a fitting end to a great career for Paul Gallen. What a great story, rising from the ashes, a win fifty years in the making. I just hope it's not the Cowboys, Melbourne or the Dogs. Up up Cronulla !!!
