I followed the mushroom case closely .
She was guilty as sin . And she is a poor actor . Although I thought the defence did a helluva job casting doubt .

I would say I trust the Broncos more than Erin at this stage .

4 day turnaround.

Maybe rest Haas, but the rest of them play.

We have a bye coming up, they can rest then and Madge can even give them a day off training here and there.

Apparently, Jensen is cooked too. Blood clot and out for 4-6 weeks. Originally thought to be just a calf strain, but turned out to be more. NRL Physio reported it today.

I know Payne is being needled for his lower back problem and isn't training for Blues the past week or so. But I still wouldn't risk him for a game vs Titans.

Patty, Gehamat, Arthars and Walsh will be named I reckon.

Talty and Smoothy will probably stay in the team. Pending if Madge wants to risk Payne.

Patty will 100% have to back up though. Just not enough big bodies in the team.

Hunt`s tackling is suspect .
Paix has lifted in defence this season . Like I said early in the season .
I don`t think Hunt has a better pass or is a better tackler . Maybe a better runner ?
I also think he`s too prone to choking . Remember when he went to dummy half and fumbled the ball when they were trying for a game breaking field goal ?

Best wishes , but little faith .
Yeah but other than that pass it felt like he got us rolling through the middle and past the advantage line.

I guess the interesting point to come out of this is that Willison no doubt keeps his starting spot and a middle of Haas, Willison and Carrigan will be unstoppable BUT who replaces Willison's bench impact?

I think Payne basically needs to be rested at this point, but because Jensen is injured as well we pretty much have to play Patty... mainly because we only have Willison left as a big man and we can't run out the same pack from last week again.

That was OK against the dogs, because they've got a small pack as well, but titans have a huge pack.

I'm assuming Tino will back up and Jayden Campbell will be back... add in the former bronco peak performance from Dfifi and you can bet that theyll be absolutely pumped for this game.

I'd be a little tempted to rest Shiba as well, only because it will be his first time backing up from origin and he's just not used to it... plus we have Mariner who can fill in if needed.

I'm expecting everyone to be named though... if you're Madge you may as well, because if someone else out of the squad pulls out then anyone not named can't be called on.

So name them all and plan not to play them (except Walsh who is hopefully just on a holiday to Sydney) is probably the thought process I'd take with it.

Does anyone even rate tino?
He was really good a couple of years ago. But hasn't seemed to have recovered that form ever since he came back from his injury.

Still good though - just not as great as he used to be.

My thoughts on the team

1 Walsh
2 Arthars/Cobbo
3 Staggs
4 Shiba/Mariner
5 Karapani
6 Ezra
7 Reynolds
8 Carrigan
9 Bhunt / Paix
10 Willison
11 Piaks
12 Riki
13 Kobe

14 Billy
15 Jhunt / Talty
16 Smoothy (replace Patty as the ball player)
17 Gos (I guess)

18 whoever
19 Haas
20 Arthars/Cobbo
21 Shiba/Mariner
22 Bhunt / Paix

I dunno, I think you keep Willison on the bench as more of an impact player. Will keep our momentum up when Hass comes off.

Having him, Hass and Carrigan all starting seems like overkill, and will just leave us more vulnerable when they all come off.

Edit: this is more when we have a full strength team. I guess with no Jensen, we might not have a choice.

Agreed. Kobe, Talty/JHunt and Gos would have to all step up equally, like, play how they did against Bulldogs but off the bench, to be able to equalize the impact Willison has off the bench. They have the ability too, just not the consistency.

So, Madge might not risk the bench impact at this stage if you have Haas and Carrigan in your starting side, if CJ wasn't injured, then you'd have more of a bench impact, because he can still play big minutes, and his impact will be greater when you have Haas, Willison and Patty gassing starters and forcing bench rotations earlier, that would be the sweet spot to activate our bench forwards.

No Ezra was at training today and hasn't gone to Sydney.

Rest Payne and Patty for this one, gives them a much deserved 2 weeks to recover.
It also rewards the blokes that played the best 20mins we’ve seen all year.
Cobbo has to be out.
Be nice to finally see the spine of
1. Walsh
6. Mam
7. Reyno
9. Hunt
14. Walters
Hell no, rest no one. We need all troops on deck every week from now on top 4 is the main priority unless injuries

Talty, I rated him great leg speed and actually bends the line

Hunt's proven in rep footy that he's (or was) pretty much the best 9 in the game. Outplayed Grant regularly. His most famous chokes have been at 7, so I'm not too concerned.

Flicking Paix for him is a no brainer. Different story if he comes in and plays like a dog, but he deserves to walk into the spot
