Round 19 Discussion

lol who is the 20 for the cowboys? Darius Boyd would have been proud of that effort.

Corey Jensen.

Man, is Coen Hess the new Dane Carlaw? Except at least Carlaw had a couple of good seasons before going off the boil.

McGuire still taking 4th tackle settlers at the death.

Say what you want about our season but every cloud has a silver lining, The Cowboys flatlined far earlier than us XD

I wonder how long the 2015 premiership and the late season run in 2017 will protect Green from the sack

We getting the same refs for this week too? Are the NRL on a mission to screw us through Ben Fucker Cummins? No qualms about Sharpe lady though. She proved to be a far better level headed ref in her 1st game and she will go a long way. Good on her.

Our boys at any moment should loose concentration and temper through out the game. The Titans have nothing to loose anymore. They would bash us in every possible way, provoke us especially on the back of the W earlier this season. Well, it's up to our boys to make sure the Titans are handed their asses to their hands.

I don't want to say we win by a margin of so & so but want us to win convincingly and in the process if we could write off the points differential, I would take it.

Go the Broncos!!!

Why on earth did Drinkwater take that ball dead?

It was going out. All he had to do was stay in between the Sharks players and the ball and the Cowboys would have got a 20 metre restart. Instead he takes it dead and Sharks score the match-winner in the next set.

It was the story of the Cowboys second half. They just kept finding ways to invite the Sharks into their half, starting with that kick out from the full with Clifford. The most egregious example was Hess' escort on Morris but they couldn't get in the game. They desperately needed to find the sideline at 14-4 but just couldn't orchestrate it.

It's where they really needed Drinkwater to step up. Clifford has a good boot on him, but he's too nervous to be the main kicker. They really needed to share the workload and provide other options to take pressure off of Jake.

In saying that, I think you're being harsh on Drinkwater here. In context he should have let the ball bounce and positioned himself to kick it just in case. However, the majority of the time, fullbacks will make a play on those kick when they sit up like that, so I'm not prepared to rack him over the coals for it. I've seen some shocking in-goal decisions, was it Maranta or Boyd in 15 who'd just knock everything dead even if they had more than a decent chance of getting out? For some reason I remember the Round 8 2015 clash being one of the laziest attempts I've seen.

Speaking of, Drinkwater's effort doesn't compare to Dugan's in the first half. That deserved a try and a swift reminder for Duges to get his head in the game.

Forgot to mention it last week, but I'm glad that Tautau Moga had a good return, that bloke has had nothing but shit luck his whole career. I actually think he was marginally underrated during his time with us, was sound defensively and made a lot of tough metres out of our own end.

He might go down as one of the biggest "what if's" of the last 10 years, the fact that he's still making first grade after 5 knee reconstructions only illustrates how good he could've been if he stayed healthy. The bloke had knee reconstructions on BOTH knees last season.

Surely due for a bit of luck.

All this talk on BHQ about us possibly playing finals has got me excited. Who do we hope wins tonight and why?

Tiggers winning could possibly put us in the 8.

The Knights just got two nothing penalties I've only ever seen the storm get.

Is there a discussion on how on earth Kurt Mann is still playing 6 while Levi is back and Watson on the bench?
Am I wrong in my assessment that Mann is rubbish?

Surely 6 Watson 9 Levi 14 Mann is a better line up????
