Nothing will happen, poster boy won’t be disciplined…. However, good to see it being called out:

Mitchell’s comments will be examined by the NRL, which will likely consider taking action against the star fullback.

The response has been damning, with diehard Souths fan and Triple M commentator Anthony Maroon speaking particularly passionately about the incident and screaming for action.

“Latrell Mitchell’s behaviour last night, mate if you happen to be listening, you are an absolute disgrace,” Maroon said.

“You are an embarrassment to our jumper and the tradition and the people it represents.

“For you to get on Triple M live on air and drop the F bomb half a dozen times and then give yourself credit for scoring 100 tries, I honestly cannot fathom what’s going on in your head.

“If any of the hierarchy at our club is listening, for god’s sake, pull this bloke into line.”

Since Reynolds has left souffs, he has a record of 5 wins and 1 loss against them lol...

Since Reynolds has left souffs, they have finished an average of 8th place. We have finished an average of 5.5th place. The 3 years prior, souffs finished an average of 5th making the preliminary final 2 years and the grand final in 2022 with mitchell out. We finished an average of 13th, including 1 wooden spoon and no finals.

If you think Reynolds isn't among the greatest retention **** ups (souffs) and retention coups (broncos) in the respective club histories, you're an idiot.

Add to that he is a club legend and wanted to stay for peanuts.... ffs. And his post career desire to help out the club through invaluable coaching with his smarts o the fields... he could be held together with tape, nearly is, and he's still great for us overall...
It’s obvious for us all to see now, however, Reyno’s love for Brissie and the club started day 1. I have it on good authority from inside “sauces” that both he and his family were grateful at the love and care shown by the club. Players instantly bonded with him, looked to him as the leader he is.

Watching that first half was frustrating.

If we didn't make so many errors, we would have blown Souths away. We should have gone into half time 30-0 up.

I really hope they learn their lesson and don't do the same against the Panthers, because they will blow us away if we dish up the same thing.

It's encouraging we haven't lost the ability to put ourselves in try scoring positions.. we will click again and when we do we will be unbeatable

Very encouraging that we can score on ANY tackle from anywhere. On our own 20 or the opposition 20, we are a threat. We have one of the fastest and strongest back lines in the comp. With the departure of Herbie, we actually have centres that will pass and not be Solo Heroes 99 times out of a 100. The boys need to settle down, get their heads into the full 80mins and we can beat anyone.

He is obviously a better fullback, but I still don't see any evidence he can't play 7, I never once said I would prefer him at 7 over fullback don't know how many times I have to repeat that before it sinks in.

What ! You want him to replace Reyno ??

I think Selwyn and Jesse are going to be formidable down that left side 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
What I did like against souths was their defensive structure. I liked that when souths swung the ball wide, jesse came in to cut it off and, Selwyn continued to slide behind him in case jesse didn't shut it down.

Acknowledging souths did not really ask too many questions but it seemed to work.

Their structures will be tested against penrith because penrith's right side is infinitely better with cleary, than souths with ilias and reserve grade outside backs.

Eels lost their left centre early to a bit of Luai grubbery .
That changed the game . Panthers should have scored at least 2 more tries on that side if not for fck ups passing the ball to supports .
Gonna miss JFH .
All teams I have watched the last cpl of weeks looked rusty .
Looking fwd to the contest .

Except the Storm and Roosters, other teams will catch and probably go past them, I'm not sure either could have played better in their games thus far.

He has the talent, skills and game reading ability to do so. Game management not quite yet, but i can see him surpassing Lockyer later in his career.

The ultimate question looms, does he have a future in the next few years there? Players like Sailor, Arthars and Mariner could play FB well. Weighing this up against Madden is the conundrum.

My favourite thing about the game was seeing Mariner and Cobbo have great games.

Dolphins thought they one upped us by recruiting Herbie, we just unearth the next bloke and it's a smooth transition. No way does Herbie provide the flick on that Selwyn did. We are probably better off, actually.

Selwyn came all the way across to the right centre in cover defence the 1st game . Then skipped back to the left . Called Jesse in on Manu and was circling round to cover the winger then decided to help Arthars . I thought that was great communication and team work . It took a miracle pass from Manus to make the try .
I had a chuckle when they asked Selwyn about Arthars . He said ; Yeah Jesse is just Jesse .
They will have a lot of fun together this season .

I think the room to move helps him .
And that he can run or pass on both sides of the field is a strength . Also the opportunities from broken play as a full back .
When we have seen Madden play a string of games I might be able to judge better .
Reynolds is a strong defender . Some thing I don`t think he gets credit for . He might get beaten occaisionally but he sticks when he hits . And he stings much bigger men regularly . Jock is gonna need to show some resilience to follow on from Reynolds .

I'd like us to give Madden an extended chance before either throwing him on the scrap heap or throwing a hail Mary on Walsh. I have no doubt Walsh could be a gun halfback, look at Hughes at Melbourne and he has a fraction of the talent Walsh has but why do it now? He still has the pace and agility to be an absolute freak at 1 and Madden has shown more than enough in his limited chances to suggest he is the future 7...at least until Black is ready.

Agreed .
I was kind of secretly hoping Reynolds needed a rest to see what he can do with a few games in a row .
Jock was a gun junior as well and he has been in 1st grade squads 4 years , still waiting his chance . Black will have an apprenticeship if Kevvie is still the boss in a cpl of years .

I said it in the preseason our team balance is better this year but also more complex. I think it's gonna take some time to get the combinations right. I'm not sold on the bench balance atm and definitely not sold on Marty.

Two reasons why I'll be deliriously happy if we win the big one this year .. #1 obviously bragging rights and total pride in the club, .. #2 we'll be playing the World Club Challenge and won't need to endure the Vegas Fustercluck and the hangover that follows!!
