Two reasons why I'll be deliriously happy if we win the big one this year .. #1 obviously bragging rights and total pride in the club, .. #2 we'll be playing the World Club Challenge and won't need to endure the Vegas Fustercluck and the hangover that follows!!
We won't be going to Vegas regardless, as they want to send different teams every year.

Lockyer was 26 (for a month then 27) when he switched to 5/8. Those calling for Walsh to swap at 21 when he doesn’t have the game management experience is a good way to get him burnt and then injured. He’s fine where he is

Agreed. Lockyer was always a 5/8th(played there for the Broncos in his first few debut seasons be it filling in for injuries, rep duty or suspensions or off the bench as a utility play) capable of playing fullback and much like Juilian O'Neill was a prototype of the more involved ballplaying fullbacks we see today, not all halves can play fullback and vice versa. The Broncos had the luxury of Walters and Langer so bringing Lockyer into fullback was icing on the cake for his development. He was moved to the halves because the Broncos needed him more involved and the Broncos had other options at fullback coming through. Walsh needs to develop real experience as a genuine playmaker before even considering a switch to the halves, let him do that from the back where he has the room to be selective with his involvement and harder for the opposition to shut him down.

My Son & I living the dream.
Not the best game of all time, we did enjoy some moments of champagne footy though. Was awesome just to be out & about enjoying the footy with my lad.
Thank you @Nashy & BHQ for the tickets
❤️

He also made the move because it's what the team needed and I don't think it happens if Bennett landed the halfback he wanted.

I don't see how Walsh moving to 5/8 at this point in time is what this team needs.

I am tonight eating my words over Carrigan. Great effort all match, and honestly, I think he has even more to give.

I think the boys (especially Staggs) want the ring this year.

Mitchell won't be getting a breech notice over his expletive filled radio interview, although Abdo does want a word with him.

Nope, I'll still ride him, he's looked cooked since the back half of the finals, and through the Kangaroos tour.

Are you watching games with your eyes open.

Because if Carrigan can make 21 runs for 194m and 38 tackles, while "cooked" ... It is scary to think what he could do if fresh and ready to go.
Our forwards (all of them) do seem less explosive then they were last year. Early days though.
