Errors galore and a few too many blokes not wanting to do the hard stuff before the flashy stuff, and that lead to a horrid completion rate.

Walsh surely can't play a worse game if he tried, and we need to find something from our backrow if Haas and Carrigan aren't rolling through our opposition, as both were putrid tonight.

Only thing positive I can take from that game is that we only lost by 10, whilst completing like shit and bombing tries and coming up against a team that played it near perfect.

Wingers were good too.

I think Payne and Patty tried to compete and did make good meters, but they didnt fight fire with fire in the end. and nobody else stepped up in the forwards either. Our pack got dominated.

Raiders were the better side and deserved to win. We were awful.

That said, that Starling try ... am i blind or what ? How can the bunker get that wrong ? That was at a key stage of the game being 16-10. Starling pretty clearly touched the ball, it ricocheted off a Raider in an offside position, back to Starling.

Rough to blame haas and carrigan. The raiders defence was ‘surprisingly’ quick off the line and aggressive all night.

Could Riki be dropped and Willison be a second rower with Te Kura coming onto the bench? I'm really over Riki going to the line then stopping with that little sideways shuffle then being easily handled by the defence.

Probably was Walsh's worst game in the NRL or since junior football actually. You know you have shit defence when Horsburgh can have a game like that.

We need Staggs back and Mariner over to left centre with Shibasaki back to Q Cup.

All those 1st tackle mistakes just killed us.
I wonder if anybody at training says anything to Riki about it? I don't think ive ever seen him run the ball straight and hard. He's a cat.

I may not have worded it correctly, I meant our backrow were putrid, on the back of Haas and Carrigan not dominating like they did last week.

Our backrowers lack talent. I don't think anyone should be expecting Riki or Jetski to ever be anything better than average in most of their games. It's the price we pay for putting all our cap in our front row, halves and fullback. I think Piakura should be starting over Jetski, but I feel like Madge won't make that call.

There was that kick that Riki did on the 5th tackle (which wasn’t too bad of a kick) and the boys went to jump to catch the ball. Shibasaki jumped and the replay showed he literally raised his arms and his head down with his eyes closed. That said it all. Rubbish.

I dont think any of our forwards have done anything to warrant being in the debate for our best player tonight. Our starting props might have made almost 300 meters between them, but we havent made a dent against their pack. The back row is bottom tier.

Cobbo, Arthars and Arey were the best of a bad bunch.

Walsh put in one of the worst performances by a Bronco in quite a while. I'm very interested to see his reaction. He had a poor year in 2024 through injuries amongst other things, wasnt at his best against the Rorters and abysmal tonight. He needs to step up and give us a reaction to get out of this bit of a rut he is in.

At least we stayed competing until the end even if we were outclassed tonight.

Oh. Sack Madge. Fucking NSW grub.
I didn't feel like Haas played a bad game but at the same time he was the best against a bunch of flogs, we were dominated.

This game definetly exposed something I didn't really look at with Madges game plan in round 1, we lack basically any Set Plays, Walsh was sitting in the middle basically most of the game which makes no sense to me in a game we are losing the middle battle, to me that seems like a coaching issue, but I'm not going to absolve blame from walsh because he fucked everything he touched when he did get involved.

We’ve seen it plenty of times before. Raiders got in our face and we crumbled. Bullied. Completely passive in defence, no one wanted to work hard or take the tough run. Plenty of forwards skipping before the line or looking for an offload instead of running hard & straight. Patty in particular was poor.

Our back row is a huge problem, there’s no intimidation there at all. Riki is an Insta model masquerading as a shitty footballer. Gos & hunt are like a runway for the opposition to score. Kobe tries hard, but lacks the size to be effective.

Walsh had a massive turd of a game.

All things considered, lucky to hold them to a 10 point difference.

I wasn't worried for the first 20, as I thought we would overrun them with class.

Totally out enthused from the start. Canberra were laying all over the ruck in the opening 10 minutes. Should have been penalised.

Reece had a shocker. I'm concerned for him as he is a confidence player.

We lost this in the ruck. Starling had a cracker. Our class couldn't shine due to our errors.

Piakura had a much better game. Billy offered a point of difference. Hass was immense, as was Arthars, Mariner, and Cobbo. **** me Reece Walsh! Worst game you have played in the NRL.

Congrats Raiders, you played red hot. Much deserved.

Rough game. Its been a crap week for the city overall, and we here can't say with any real certainty how that affected the player's preparation for the match.

I'll stand by they still struggle without early points on the board, and that they may need to add an early field goal or two into the game plan for game management's sake with how fine tuned everything is these days.

But they can't repeat that performance again next week. So hopefully they lick the wounds, learn from the mistakes and play much better next week.

I agree, and if you are going to be a backrower that is just there to be a big body and kick chase, it's inexcusable to miss tackles like our 2 do. There's no attacking upside to offset the shit defensive reads... its a huge problem
