Raiders will go to sh*t you watch, the way they played on the weekend isn't sustainable for a whole season let alone a month. I'm expecting a mild performance on Sunday against the Eagles.
Yeah I can see them getting hammered having to go to brookie, if DCE and Turbo play.

I'm still baffled on the no call for the Raiders try when the hooker ran around his own player obstructing Shiba.
Not one person has questioned it.
Am I completely wrong on this or is that just a straight up penalty normally.
There were multiple shockers in this game it's wild. (none our way of course). The fact no one is talking about it is par for the course. I feel like you need the commentary to blow up about it during the game which then makes fox write articles to bring any light to it.

Everything kinda got blown over and shrugged off because we played poor. It's ridiculous. If the refs did their job we legit could've won that game which is crazy to think,. Just because we played poor, (and yes Canberra probably deserved the win) doesn't mean we deserve to get screwed over by crappy game defining calls.

Kempy brought it up in the bloke podcast during the game review and everyone just laughed and passed it off as him being salty. Which exactly highlights my point lol.

You’re last paragraph is exactly why I don’t listen to that fucking podcast anymore.

Despite how bad we were, we only lost by 10.

That was arguably the Raiders best game in a fair few years (since 2019), they aren't going to play like that again this year, and we were very poor in just about every aspect of the game but we only lost by 10 and if we didn't make so many errors especially on their line, we probably end up winning that game.

Winning that game would have been bad .
Turning up with a poor attitude and not executing fundamentals . Win that way and its gonna come back and bite you on the arse later .
Canberra wanted it more .

Meanwhile in the Parra v Tigers game, an obscenely obvious forward pass which led to a try was somehow missed, and the bunker intervened to quite literally invent a brand new rule to justify overturning the try to compensate for the forward pass which they're not allowed to rule on.

The level of refereeing is farcical and embarrassingly amateurish, and unfortunately the Bunker has only made things worse, not better. Sometimes it's so baffling you have no idea what they could be watching or looking at. Feels like they just close their eyes and flip a coin half the time.

Unfortunately just part of the game and need to hope that the benefit and detriment we get from these calls normalises out over the course of the season.
Am I lucky enough for you to recall when this was, so I can go back and have look-see?

8 min 10 sec from the end.
They get the correct decision but the call was manufactured. Penalised Ilongi for obstruction when he was a support player.
If ilongi had been needed to pass to it would have been tackledcwithout the ball and penalty try.
They probably think they were clever by calling that but now some sort of precedent has been set. Maybe 2.
1 )Looking for another way to rule on the forward pass and
( 2 ) now a support player is an obstruction play.
NRL just gets dumber every year.

Robert Craddock just wrote an article saying that the Raiders just showed the comp "The secret to beating the 2025 Brisbane Broncos"

Well he isn't wrong. The onus is now on Maguire and the Broncos to figure out how to combat combativeness from other teams.

The team hasn't had an answer for when they are just straight up getting bashed in a grubfest for years now so I am hoping Maguire has an answer to it. I know we don't have an "Alpha" but surely Payne could change to white boots and the boys can take turns in stepping on them when they need him to flare up.

Payne doesn't have the mongrel in him to step it up. Its just not the player he is. We have to find it elsewhere
