Round 2 Discussion

Just too slick, the Roosters move the ball better than anyone and their backs are so lethal near the line.

Laurie must be enjoying what he's seeing from Mitchell, Keary and Pearce.

Some of my mates have tipped Knights, I didn't exactly think this was a wise move

Why is Tetevano wearing 23 if he was named as 21? Did they run out of 1s?

As much as i rate Luke Keary i dont believe he is origin quality yet, his defence is still questionable

Josh Jackson has to be the most overrated player in the nrl, he is solid but offers nothing in a attack.

IMO there are far better 2nd rowers in NSW and he shouldn't be in the team

If JWH doesn't pick up the slack then he is gone.

Just make a fucking run. Tackle. Do something useful.

Seriously SKD!??

He's been the dog's 18th man tonight.

Bulldogs had a nice play in that last set that could've seen a speedy winger get away with a nice gain. Only it was Josh Jackson out there, lulz.

The Roosters did not play well, no matter what Gus would try make you think. Both teams were shit and made stupid errors.

They looked good in comparison because their halves can actually put in some attacking kicks.

The Roosters certainly have some errors in them, but they're a dangerous team and their ability to shift the ball is going to be tough for any team to defend against.

If I was a Roosters fan, I'd be pretty happy with that performance all things considered. To concede an early lead and then bounce back from it in one half of football is encouraging, as was the try to Aubusson to seal it. It just shows when the team is under the pump, they can still find that gear to decide the match and if you want to talk about underrated players, Aubusson has been on the top of that pile since 2010.

Both Keary and Pearce continue to impress, Mitchell is coming up with some big plays and is showing more than just athleticism and Tetevano had some big moments in his return to first grade.

Canterbury were unlucky to lose both Holland and Hopoate at vital stages in the game. The reshuffle hurt them and the Roosters took full advantage targeting Jackson and Lee on the edges. The injury to Holland could be a blessing in disguise for the Bulldogs and it will be interesting to see who Des goes with out of Phillips, Montoya and Smith. However as it stands their biggest issue is their dummy half and halves. Mbye has had a really poor start to 2017 and if he doesn't step up he'll be one of the biggest busts in the game.

Big Pete Big Pete Mbye has had nothing but poor starts. Trading Ennis for him was just bone-headed (thanks hindsight, but I thought it was silly at the time too).

TBH, the sooner Hasler is out, the better for Canterbury. They have lost their way under his coaching, and aside from Barba occasionally pulling blistering runs from nowhere (5 years ago), have one of the most boring games in the league. And it's ineffective to boot.
