POST GAME [Round 20, 2026] - Broncos vs Panthers

How good does it feel to step into the weekend like ..

surely the panthers fans responses indicate that in general, fans are just idiots and there's not some grand conspiracy at play.

Ivan and Yeo both said in the presser they didn't get any calls so it'll be seen as controversial for a while, not that it wouldn't have already.

They got plenty of calls, it's just that the Broncos received a bunch that normally they wouldn't have. Penrith are used to getting all the calls, so they don't know how to comprehend it.

Most the Riff fans haven't been fans long enough to see them lose many games either, so when they do lose, and don't get some 50/50s they usually do, its meltdown town.

Ivan knew what he was doing. He brought it up to get the media talking about it...

Then downplayed it saying that those calls even out over the year

Nah everything is rigged.
you're going to feel that way next weekend (i hope).
would just be so 2026 broncos to beat the panthers away and then derp it up in the qld derby, officially ending our season.
i'm mildly annoyed we won because i used my joker this weekend and tipped the panthers. great start.

What calls didn’t they get?

The call in the last couple of minutes where Karapani was definitely going into touch, they said it was our ball as at the exact point the whistle was blown is a mutual infringement and he was technically still in play.

They'd feel dudded by that.

I never feel something is rigged like alot here. It is amazing what happens when a team plays with more intensity that they start to get things go their way. Big believer in the footy gods. They deserved to win.

If you bring that effort I think your a massive chance. May even start favourites depending what we do on sunday. Its really a lottery which teams show up.

I am scared of Walsh. Especially when he is allowed to be Mahomes also 😉😉

It was a voluntary tackle... happens all the time.

As soon as Karp is touched, whilst the ball is touching the ground, the defender can't do any second effort.

If To'o or whoever had pushed Karp from the side and he slid over the line then it wouldve been their ball.

Instead he grabs him and rolls him over.

The grab is tackle complete, rolling him is a second effort.

It should've actually been a penalty, but the bunker made up some random shit that the whistle means a mutual infringement.

Commentators then blow up... even though that shit happens all the ****ing time... it's a well known rule for like 15 years at this point

Walsh got pinged for this exact the, the only difference was that it was back into the in goal, not touch.

The ranger with the whistle effectively said after the challenge that the review showed the mutual infringement saved it from being a penalty

Yeah this was one of the ones that seemed a Penrith call.

There were a bunch of others, but one of the ones that got me was, after the Mam scuffle (where they refused to show a replay of whether Martin actually hit him high and late), the ref warned that any further escalation someone would be sent. And then after Haas is penalised, the Panthers escalate again. But nobody was sent. And then two high tackles in the next set. No one sent. It almost felt like the ref was waiting for a Bronco to do something and then it would be "you were warned, you're off for 10".
