If I could give negative votes it would go like this.

-300 Anderson
-2 Hunt
-1 Beale

It's a disappointing loss, we were in that game easy for that first 50 but that mistake by Anderson and then by Hoffman just killed us.

We've got improvement left in us, and the Storm are never the same prospect away.

Sucks, but if we can build on that game, we'll give this competition a real shake.

Hopefully someone else flukes/knocks out Melbourne out of the finals.

meh. wait until september/october.

We still have the game that counts. 06 Grand final. 80% of those 80% wins were with a way over the cap team.

If we meet them in the finals there is every chance we can beat them, it just wasn't our night, by no means are we done and dusted for the year.

I'm just curious to know, which game where you watching? At what point did you think that the Broncos were any chance? the Storm could have and should have put another 12-18 points on us, we got closer then we deserved. We played about 80% of our potenial and didn't get close, the scarey thig is the Storm played at about 60% of theirs, mate we where flat out scratching their painwork.

I think the commentators have blisters on their hands, after watching the Storm play.

Gutted. 6-6 at half time and then we lose like that.

In the first 50 we were easily the superior side. A few silly mistakes hurt us and the Storm finished running out winners.

We can improve, Melbourne can't improve on that second half.

TBH I thought we were actually on top in general play for most of the match. Unfortunately we didn't take our opportunities - failing to notice an unmarked man or silly errors. The Storm took theres, then threw it around again at the end to blow the scoreline out.

Smith was amazing, he completely dominated us out of dummy half. I thought Hannant was huge for us, his stint in the middle of the second half was inspiring.

One improvement I'd like to see is Wallace and Lockyer straighten early at speed when they get the ball. Cronk was very successful doing this throughout the game and it lead to a few of their tries.

I don't think Melbourne even made an error in the second half, and were gifted two ridiculous points to take the lead :O

Solid game from the Broncos, we'll get them when it counts.

Couldn't agree more m1c. Great post.

I don't know why some are seeing this lost as end of the world or claiming that Melbourne is going to win. We are still in with a real shot at winning the premiership and we will only get better IMO. Melbourne won the last 20 minutes and took all their chances, we won the first 60 but just kept missing easy opportunities.

Don't be worried or disheartened tonight folks. We went to school tonight I just hope we learn the lessons required to be the best team we can be. Didn't do the little things right, pressure on the kicker was non existent. The boys were rooted with 10 mons to go they gave it all they had. Storm are just to clinical and to smart.

This ... Look I'm as pro-Broncos as anyone here but there's no mistaking greatness regardless of what colour its wearing ... Craig Bellamy is phenomenal rugby league coach, there's no denying that (in my opinion he's the best in the NRL). The Storm have no right to 15-3 after what what they've (rightfully) had to overcome via their punishment for the cap scandal. But Bellamy just plugs these guys into his methods and systems and away they go.

Say what you want but I'm forever cursing the day the Broncos let him slip.

26-6 with more points to come, with the possession we have had just shows where we are in this premiership. Does anyone seriously think there is anyway we could beat the Storm? They have something like an 80% winning % against us in the last 6 years. We have our full team, no excuses, although I'm sure some member will offer some, like maybe the weather or maybe the alinement of the planets. No wonder all my Storm fan mates say we are easy beats, tonight shows why.
Oh gee, like it wasn't enough to listen to the commentators wankfest... :shake:
