POST GAME Round 20 - Broncos vs Titans

Awesome game!
If there's one word you can describe on how the broncos are playing is...
COMPOSED!

Points are really tough tonight, there was a lot of just really good performances. I'll go with -

3. Hunt
2. Boyd
1. Milford

Big win gives our F/A a huge boost, only the Roosters come close to it, slightly ahead of ours, rest of the top eight aren't even in triple digits.

Even when we're bad, we're good.

Possession against us, poor completion, Titans on our line for much of it.

Yet we pitch a 34-0 shut out. Can't remember the last time we held a team to nil.

We weren't even at our best and we still dominated and won by 34 to nothing. The premiership is ours to lose.

Points? Well who the **** knows. SOOO many players who are worthy tonight, it makes my head spin. Give me an hour to stew on it, will probably have a lot of honorable mentions.

Great to watch Broncs live again. To win and hold opposition to nil even better. Got that feeling it's time to spend some hard earned on GF tickets

Fantastic defensive efforts. Again! I just don't know who is capable of stopping us on the march to premiership glory. Bennie Hunt is looking more an more like a youngster Andrew Johns whenever we see him play. Milf ,well, his the superstar 5/8 we been craving ever since the great man retired. The forwards all doing their jobs an Jarrod Wallace, wow, what a revelation his been under the great ones coaching an tutelage. An finally, Boydie, what a champion an so very glad his back where he belongs in a Broncos jersey!

Only negative points were a couple of niggling injury concerns and Copley making hes usual drop the ball errors every match. I really hope we dont see him in first grade again. Sorry, just my opinion about him.

Congrats lads an so proud of how you all playing for one another!

Scrappy game in parts. A bit of dropped ball, certainly gave the Titans plenty of opportunities in good field position. But such rock solid defense - even when it breaks, they scramble and cover so well. Boyd's tackle on Hoffman was a stand out.

Really pleased with both halves. I thought Hunt's kicking game was terrific, a real improvement. And Milford just seems to get better each week. The kid is amazing - forward passes and all.

Don't think I'd want Oates on the wing full-time, to be honest. Looked a bit shaky under the high ball on a few occasions, and I think the good teams would look to target him. But I love how hard he hits it up, seems to make a half break more often than not.

Always good to get the win.

Nothing spectacular about the performance. In fact, I'd go as far to say it was one of the Broncos worse of the season but there's so much skill in this roster that they were basically able to coast along and pick apart whatever opportunities came their way.

Couple of points...

- Ben Hunt is hitting form at the right time. Sure, his performances have been 'boosted' somewhat by the quality of the opposition, but some of the passes, kicks and runs he's putting up is right up there with the Cooper Cronk's & Johnathan Thurston's of the competition. I really hope he keeps it up as he holds the key for the Broncos.

- Thought JK did a great job on Roberts. That was the Titans only point of attack and Kahu did a really good job of hitting and sticking. Just a shame he couldn't finish the game. It would have been great to see him score that try.

- Gillett may not be as dynamic with the football but some of the plays he comes up with in defence more than make up for it. He produced a personal best in Origin earlier this year and it really comes down to his defence which is much tighter than it was.

- The bench has been a big positive over the past few weeks. Dodds adds so much starch when he comes off, Wallace is providing more impact and the dummy halves have both added something when they've come on. Copley didn't get much of an opportunity on this occasion but Oates has just about been one of the best 'bench' warmers in the game. Considering it was a weakness, it's cool to see it become one of our strengths. I'd say the last time the bench was this good would have been 2011.

Hunt well deserved MOTM.
Niko made that try look so easy. He definitely adds spark in attack. Looked beat up pretty quick.
Wallace and Dodds killed it. Wallace scores another storming try. Refs need to knock off the Wallace penalty though. Wallace falls getting up. Second effort in tackle.

Feel for Copley. His tackling was great and he looked very upset with his lost ball.

No try for Oates tonight. Seemed to be the only one making metres after first contact. Titans seemed to be onto everyone ridiculously quickly.

I would love for opposition teams to target Oates on the wing, he'll destroy them as he always does.

Are we any danger of having the most wins in a season?

IMO Milf's transformation from a fullback to a 5/8 is complete. you won't hear me calling for him to be moved out of 5/8 again.

well done to the kid ...

oh and lol at the Raiders fans turning on him after he turned down their massive offer, saying he wasn't a big loss

Despite the errors we kept turning up in defence and repelled everything that the Titans threw at us, everything...

Our defence is superb to watch but we've played some average teams these last few weeks so I'm really looking forward to our run to the finals, which should include some quality matches.

I'm not sure why the Raiders are holding out for the arrival of Sezer, unless they are eagerly awaiting his 'bomb-to-the-corner' super move he's a bog ordinary player who will add nothing to their roster.

The thing I am liking is Hunt is starting to nail the long kicking and Milf has a lot of Langer in his grubber. We can still get better too!

To be fair you were entitled to have your concerns about his transition to 5/8th it was never assured, even though I was for it I still had some doubts. But I always felt to get a clear picture of where his future would be time would be the only indication given he was also at a new club so he was not only playing a new position but it was also at a new club. It's great though how much better our spine is performing as a whole, so much attacking capability and direction rather then the rudderless mess we have had to up with for too long.
