Round 20 Discussion

12 minutes left and it's 18-12 to Cowboys.

I think Broncos will be knocked out of the 8 this week.

Cowboys have a penalty 30 out right in front.

Thurston will not miss it. That's game over.

12-20

Game over.

Broncos are out of the 8.

If the Dragons beat the Tigers and Manly beat the Warriors by more than 4 points then somehow the Broncs will slip back into 8th spot. Fingers crossed!

As if matters. We'd only be delaying the inevitable.

Always good experience moving forward.

Whatever can help this squad, the better.

When was the last time the Cowboys won back to back away games?

In consecutive weeks, 2005.

They beat Storm and Eels in the finals.

Although, after their loss to Broncos last year, they won both of their away games in their run to the finals. They just had a few home games in between.

Honestly, I'd probably prefer to miss out on the 8 than just barely make it and be knocked out in the first week. Bennett needs to come in with pressure on him too, which there will be a lot of after the Broncos fail to make the finals 2 years in a row.

These are my feelings too.

Does anyone think it's gay how Darryl Halligan always says "big D or good D" all the time when referring to strong defence?

I do

Nope, he has to say that, so the Aussie viewers can understand what he is saying.

We would think he is saying Bug defunce or good defunce.

So what do we make of today's games?

Doesn't sound like there was a whole lot between Warriors/Manly. Warriors had opportunities but without SJ looked lost and lacked that polish that makes them so threatening. Townsend has been a handy support half but in the lead role he isn't effective and since he predominately plays down the left, it meant that Hurrell wasn't getting the ball he needed to take on Matai.

Manly were Manly. Defended well and made the most of their chances. Heard Sene-Lafeo may have eye gouged Hurrell, any truth to that?

Meanwhile from the sounds of it, Dragons did everything they had to in the first half and just coasted for the rest of the game against a pretty ordinary West Tigers outfit high off their win last week.

Warriors did ok without Johnson. A lot of teams would get thrashed without their best player.
