Mouth drooling dickheads don't see the stupid workload that being in defence most of the game does to them, we didn't play bad this game given our defensive workout this is a massive improvement over what we would of done in the last 2 years.

a good thing to show the difference with the current team is once Newcastle got out to a 20 point lead, that was it. Normally that game ends up 42-8 after the usual BS that drops the heads and we just collapse.

Looks like the players in question both took it in their stride which shows strength, but yeah then sharing it to "shame" the dickheads in question is probably a bit immature. I too would like it if they just steered clear of social media fullstop, no need to open your profile up to follows from "fans" if this is the crap they serve up after a mostly wholehearted loss.

That first 10 minutes made it so hard for us. Walters’ bench selection and management probably doesn’t look as strange if we don’t defend our line for 10 minutes straight. Hetherington would have been super gassed from it, which maybe explains why we kept him off for so long. Riki obviously got gassed as **** too. In hindsight we should’ve had TC on the bench.

I don’t like Tesi’s attitude on-field. I think he showed us tonight why the club aren’t going to overpay for him. Apart from that our team is light years away from where it was 6 weeks ago. Walters deserves a lot of credit for turning around our attitude.

I've been looking at some of the comments on FB posts made from pages such as Fox, NRL, 9 NRL etc regarding last nights game.
I'd say that about 80% of comments were just ripping into the bunker & refs.
The interesting observation here is that most people in these comments normally laugh and rip into the Broncos however this time most comments refer to how shocking some of the calls made throughout the game were. Its telling, especially for a club that is hated by most NRL supporters. NRL supporters love seeing the Broncos fail
Then to think we only lost by 8. Isaako missed a couple of conversions, we had only 44% possession, conceded 5 penalties, made 11 errors and had a try allowed against us that has never in the history of the game been a try.
Damn, what could have been.

Why didn't Oates catch the short kick off - or at least bat it back? He was standing over the 40m line.
He did the same thing a couple of weeks ago too with another short kickoff.

Better than standing there and watching it bounce 9.95m and giving away a penalty.

The ball itself has to cross the 40m line, so it would have been the same result. That being said, he may as well have played at it and prayed for a referee stuff-up.

because it would have been a penalty to the Knights. Oates was hoping the bounce went our way and took the ball past the 10m line

Another flawlessly executed short kick off from Isaako.

Has he performed a single successful short kick off/drop out this season? I don’t even mean successful as in we get the ball back, I mean one that hasn’t resulted in a penalty?

In fact, has he gone a full 80 minutes without a placed kick penalty?

This one was at a under more understandable circumstances than usual but I still have no idea why he’s allowed to try these still.

I'm not convinced. They have improved a lot i'd agree. They defend a lot better now, i just think we need those older heads to calm us down.

Well yeah it's not exactly a hot take though is it, not sure why Fittler is getting credit for a call that a casual observer could make.

Connor Watson must have the most fucked gait in the NRL if the bunker reckons he was running normally. That Best tackle erased any doubt I had that we’re not being setup to fail each week. But getting pushed out not once but twice is unforgivable.

Kevvie still has no clue on how to use his bench. There were a number of things as just mentioned that we can control and it would have changed that game. We are still a very low IQ footy team.

That was Kurt Mann but yes I agree he needs to see a specialist if that's his natural gait.
